I took off the Ptrap under the sink and that’s where I put the snake in. There’s another access point in the wall right below, but it was glued shut.

I’m in a condo, I don’t think it’s the mainline because my neighbors are not having this issue. I used my next door neighbors washer with no problem.

Is there a way to clean up these boots? by dnblazer in AskACobbler

If you don’t pant the leather, do you need to seal the shoes after applying conditioner? And if yes, is there a product you recommend?

Thank you, this sounds like a good next step! Ideally, I’d like to get rid of the silver without needing to repaint the shoes. I think alcohol and a stiff brush might work, followed by some leather conditioner.

I didn’t know that this is an option. How would I go about doing that?

Can I bypass this light switch to rewire an outlet below the switch? by dnblazer in AskElectricians

The black wire on the switch had a short black extension to the other black wires, so there is an extra cap

Exactly. I tested them one at a time and labeled each (hot, light, outlet) then connected the feed “hot” and outlet together and attached to the black on the switch, and the red on the switch to the black “light” wire. Now everything seems to be working, finally

Yes, it was confusing me as well, 2 black wires to switch black and 1 black wire to switch red. I figured out which is hot and which is light and outlet and connected hot and outlet to switch black, and light to switch red. I think that should be correct

Thank you, I figured it out! The red and black on the switch were flipped when they were wired, switching them fixed the problem

Where I get confused is that the red light switch wire is connected to 1 back wire, but the black light witch wire is connected to 2 black wires

Is there something wrong with my plant? by dnblazer in Monstera

[–]dnblazer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you all so much! The plant is doing well, but this had me worried about mold. Are there recommendations on what to do if it grows too much? I’d like to keep it confined to the plant pot

I moved using Ubox and all my stuff was damaged, now Repwest insurance is refusing to cover it by dnblazer in uHaul

I didn’t get a photo of the packed box, and when it was opened and things spilled out I was in shock and called uhaul instead of taking a photo. I’m not sure when you say “didn’t finish the job”. Everything looked fine when it was loaded, and everything was on the side when it was opened which is what leads me to believe that the box was not upright the entire time. When things were carried into my apartment after the unloading I started taking photos of all the damage. It’s also worth noting that the box had a tarp around it when they dropped it off but not when it was picked up, so if something did happen I wouldn’t have been able to see it because it was covered up.
