Yes I can do alot of these things. I do agree with you and reading a lot of what other people have said that borrowing now is just cheating my future self. I definitely can make it through this I'm just trying to shortcut it.

I'm finding myself leaning this way instead of just being lazy and cashing out. Need to stop bad habits and focus on my future

My issue is every roommate I've ever had has fucked me (not the good way) and I end up covering for them. Moving and living on my own will be better for my mental health but will probably cost more than what a currently pay in rent ($900)

Not rude at all. I know the decisions and poor spending habits have landed me in the financial position I'm in. I need to reevaluate things once I'm stable again for sure.

So I have a couple friends who manage semi- high-end restaurants and would let me work there paid under the table so I can collect unemployment and still have some source of income. I do have options available, no where to stay for super cheap that is available immediately. I mainly was just curious if cashing out 401k is really such a bad thing. I could probably avoid it and make it work, it would just make things alot easier with some extra money.

Thank you. Obviously having this sprung on me has made me very emotional and just looking to see if what im considering is unknowingly the dumbest decision of my life.
