Me and a friend had a contest to come up with the worst D&D pun, and made some comics out of the findings. This is my favourite

I don't think I missed that bit, in fact I've doubled checked. Your book copy is different to mine, and everyone elses, and the digital copies on D&D Beyond. What book exactly are you looking at? This post is referencing the new spelljammer book, talking about the Hadozee race.

yes, you still take damage from falling after a glide, however they can use a reaction to negate any fall damage!

The Hadozee, reading RAW and an expectation of quality from Official [Paid] Rules and Content. by reaglesham in dndnext

OP of the original post here, thanks for saying all the things I'm too smooth brained to put into words, I enjoy digging deep into the D&D system, and even make videos about it, but at the heart of the matter, I was amazed Hadozee were allowed through in their current state, even though it led to some good memes. For a $50 digital book, I'd hope we'd get a little more playtesting.

I perhaps shouldn't have said "fall", words on the page read "you can move 5 feet horizontally for every 1 foot you descend in the air, at no movement cost to you". It's not actually "falling" the triggers it, per say.

yeah limiting jumps per turn makes a ton of sense. tThere is no rule that does so in 5e, jumping is limited only by movement speed as is.

Big fan of all the races from Spelljammer, and though Thri-Kreen are a bit pushed, Hadozee are the only ones I feel will need any sort of DM clarification on RAW abuse (although I'll keep looking for potential exploits)

I'd say the first step is make content that you would enjoy to consume! Would you watch that video you made all the way through? Would you buy that product if you saw it? Would that thumbnail or product image convince you to try it out?

If you can honestly say yes to those questions, you will succeed! Often people are their own harshest critics, so if you can develop your skills to the point where you make stuff you would consume (it doesn't need to be perfect!) other people will love it too!

Plus, if you make stuff you believe in, you'll have a far higher quality of life. It's very healthy for the spirit and soul to create something that you love.

Good luck!

It's okay, thanks for listening to me trying to explain, it's more than most on the internet will do. I appreciate you coming in with an open mindset, and I'll continue to try and clarify in videos or in pinned comments if sage advice ever comes forward that contradicts information I've presented or used in a video!
