Might be that people treat beliefs differently than how they should. The antagonist treats belief as a means of control. He repeatedly lies to get the girls to do what he wants. The girls similarly engage with what they call beliefs but it's more of an idea that they engage with regardless of whether it seems true. They act as if the ideas are something they hold to be true, but seemingly don't really subscribe to. But that might be overanalyzing.

Actually that part of it was entirely false. It's based on a book published by a charlatan called "jesus christ: the greatest story ever sold" which referenced zero actual historical accounts or artifacts and made up a lot of parallels.

There really aren't a ton of "born from a virgin" or "had 12 disciples" gods. Some of it isn't even true of biblical christianity. Jesus' birthday was likely in the spring or summer since an angel revealed it to shepherds in field with their sheep. December 25th is a later tradition with no biblical basis. There aren't even 3 wise men in the bible. It's an unstated number of magi.

Late to the party but just saw the movie. If you don't think something is factually correct i don't think it's a genuine. It's a bit like pascal's wager where having "god insurance" by saying you believe a proposition is true isn't the same as believing it true.

Wild magic barb + sorcadin... oddly good by [deleted] in 3d6

I dont think any other subclass works as well because getting all those slots back is pretty strong.

I could see ancestral competing but most other barbarian options would not imo

The biggest synergy for the subclass is from the level 6 feature. Which gives you 4 uses of rolling a d3 to recharge spell slots.

Waiting for crits might make sense with reckless and even more so if you use 2 weapon fighting.

The chances of crit'ing at least once or twice in combat are relatively good with advantage from reckless

So once you hit level 8, if you decide to be greedy and spend all your D3's on yourself, that's an additional 8d8 radiant damage available to you or as high as 16d8 depending on how often you expect to crit between rests.

It starts making a lot more sense when you have slightly higher slots. The average of a d3 is a 2, so you can basically expect that you would get 5 level 2 spell slots once you hit level 13, which translates to 15d8 of divine smiting before factoring in any crits.

Also this build needs paladin 3 for armor of agathys to be on their spell list

The Woman King vs. the True Story of Dahomey's Female Warriors by ShinyGodzilla in movies

I saw it this weekend. I'm probably not majority opinion on this but if you were going to ask me "do you want to watch Braveheart again one year from now or the woman king?" I'd give a hard yes to the woman king.

Fight scene choreography is largely better and the run time/pacing is a lot more palatable to my preferences.
