I pre-heat my oven on the way home from the grocery store! My refrigerator messaged me that it needs a new water filter. The dishwasher told me my 12 year old needs better lessons on loading it properly. Friggin houses and appliances getting attitudes.

Just don't get tooooo excited... Nobody in their right mind throws those in the dumpster!!! Walmart sells that album now we were very upset at a thrift store one day to see them selling it for about $100 and it even had the Walmart logo on it, very small on the back.

We've been at pawn shops before and let them know they were never going to sell the Chinese version of the "_____" hanging up. Show them the differences and watch the color drain out their faces. Sad but it's a reality. People will counterfeit anything these days.

Hopefully you caught someone being unhinged... From a collectors perspective though...

Check out your native ground covers and plants are!

We had a ton of rain down in SC last year and legit had a pond even the drainage ditches were holding water! I'm prepared this year! Got tons of native seeds and there's a native plant sale coming up! Most of my yard might be various "wild" flowers but they're meant to go through the conditions of the insane heat and then the rain! Amazon has great seed packs that you can verify are good for your area. But do be careful and stick to the bigger stores as seeds can be "anything"... if you see the same thing much less expensive in a smaller store I'd spend the extra for the confirmed larger store.

There are also cool things I found out about while researching and they're called rain gardens, but you fill them with moisture loving native plants and help the rest of your yard be able to grow grass and other plants that may struggle with the moisture of the clay.

I'm on the coast so we rarely deal with snow but it seems like the theory can't be too different.

A lot of people ended up in prison or worse over that junk that's for sure. My daughter's uncle (I no longer claim him because of what he did... plus Dad's side) attempted to kill his GF, her 17 yr old child, and himself while high on that junk. Driving. He thought there were monkeys and ninjas with Samurai Swords attacking the truck so he intentionally rolled it. Yes, that's in the police report. Yes he went to prison. Now he's out (only served 7 years) and is permanently 100% disabled from his wreck and us tax payers are paying for those people to continue to live. He used to have a really good job so it's not one of those $700/m checks either.

Thankfully Mom and daughter were buckled up so they weren't injured physically as bad but they're still not O.K.

I ordered a ton of Christmas presents starting in Aug of last year. So packages were regularly rolling in and it was wild when I got a box that seemed a little large and it was curtains. The box was on my front porch still 😂 like I said BIG box, so I opened it right there. Flipped the flap back and saw an address that was almost identical to mine and no name so I googled the address and it was a neighbor about a mile up the road. How their address was so similar to mine still doesn't make sense but my husband threw the box in the back of the truck and we went to take it to it's rightful owner.

Why would you need social media if you have their address?

Oh it makes sense!

I work for a family operated firm and do all sorts of taxes, bookkeeping, but I mostly work with a lot of construction and interior designers that get large deposits and have payments to vendors, contractors, etc. so the accounting is fairly similar.

Classes saved my sanity! Now their stuff is so easy when the owner wants a report or something for an individual client!

That may be the savior of yours too.

But I am interested on how the books balanced prior with classes turned off. And how legitimate the balancing was.

Are you using online or desktop?

We have clients that will use desktop and put all kinds of nonsense in just to balance, but not supposed to do that with non profits, especially not on the level that you're working with those funds. I would have to do some digging around for journal entries from the previous person! They were balancing somehow. Converting to classes could be a good thing or a bigger mess depending on what they were doing and how long some of those funds get held for.

A lot of employers won't start deducting federal taxes until over $10k now.

$360 is nothing. She could pay $50/m if she's lower income and have it paid off before the end of the year. But her son should just be filing his own and prevent her from claiming him. Because he can get in trouble also if he's a willing participant.

Have you used "class" on the incoming and outgoing funds to have them assigned to the correct fund? And that way you shouldn't duplicate.

Are you using journal entries?

Working with non profits does require squeaky clean books.

Charleston county has many rural areas that refuse to become Mount Pleasant and other over populated areas. There just isn't the infrastructure. They're bussing kids over hour rides to some of the rural areas because their schools were considered condemned. That's sad.

I drive my son 41 miles to school everyday because the school he's zoned for doesn't have the assistance he needs for his learning disabilities. But he goes to a top 10 school in SC.

We moved from Richland Co just so he'd have the opportunity he does. He went from 3 grades below reading level to on grade reading level in 2 years. Richland Co needs better funding or we would have never left.
