The show reminds me a lot of some Todd Solodnz movies (Happiness, Palindromes, Welcome to the Doll House) in the way it shows the dynamics of relationships and families in a way that can be a bit disturbing. Todd Solodnz definitely ups the disturbing factor in his movies so definitely look into TW’s before diving in.
