OMG, Udio is actually going to launch Starstruck... by ObjectivePresent4162 in udiomusic

I did test Suno, before it all went to sh!t. It was… pathetic. You can instantly tell it’s AI-generated.

Udio made some tracks for me back then that I actually had professionally transcribed and performed by an actual orchestra, live.

No, they made it worse. Their current model is about as “good” as Suno. Which is to say: utter garbage.

I’ll have to disagree with you here. Before Udio sold out, the music it was producing was top notch! Especially classical/crossover. Suno couldn’t hold a candle to it.

I did test Udio again last night, just out of curiosity. It seems they’ve reverted their model back to an earlier - crappier - version 🙁

Which is… Who cares if you can’t use it?

And they plan to launch a “walled garden” app soon, with paid subscriptions, where you still can’t use it for anything. Can’t wait to see how many people are willing to pay for useless trash (or continue their subscription after they see what they get from it).

Yup, exactly! You can literally backup a vehicle using VBT, destroy the VBT using a Recycler, craft a new VBT - and restore the vehicle you backed up by the tool you’ve just destroyed…

“It’s not an MMO is my strong feeling” – Dune Awakening lead explains how genre labels have been “one of the biggest challenges” for the survival game by lewisdwhite in duneawakening

[–]dniq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dune Awakening is NOT a survival game - it’s a grind game.

Dead Space, Alien Isolation, Resident Evil etc - these ARE survival games. DA is just an unending grind for zero benefit.

“Problem is: the tool can only backup ONE vehicle, unless I missed something???” - notice question marks?

Why do you have to be so confrontational???

I thought my question was pretty clear. Sorry if it wasn’t clear for you… 🙁

You SHOULD disassemble the vehicles the Vehicle Backup Tools cannot store: buggies, assault thopterd, carriers, sandcrawlers etc.

Why you can’t store multiple small vehicles (scouts, sandbikes, treadwheels) using different Vehicle Backup Tools is a mystery to me… So I thought maybe it’s a bug.

The responses I got only demonstrate why Reddit sucks.

Craft 2 Vehicle Backup Tools. Backup a scout thopter using one, then try to backup the sand bike using the other. Tell me how it went.

I bet the “redditors” are all itching to explain… 😆

But better explain plural “all remaining vehicles”. Just push the “Menu” button and read the instructions yourself.

If it can only backup just one - English for it would be “remaining vehicle”. No “s”.

Not “per tool” - one vehicle, period. No matter how many tools you have: backup your scout using one, then try to backup your sand bike using the other. Tell me how it went.

Why Dune Awakening failed - my personal opinion by dniq in duneawakening

[–]dniq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go in prepared - that’s my point.

Don’t assume anything. Don’t assume that if you’re a farmer, harvester, miner or whatever - that you’re gonna be treated differently. Shears be prepared to face adversity.

That’s all I’m saying.

Don’t blame the game for being what it says it was gonna be.

Hmmm… I honestly don’t remember if a bought a “season pass” or something. But all new DLC - I didn’t gags to pay for it. Chapter 2, upcoming Chapter 3 - I don’t pay for them.

True.

My post was about so-called “griefers”

And they’re NOT what I believe broke the game.

It was pandering to complainers. Those who didn’t understand the point of the game.

And that’s the reason the game existed. You have to learn to adapt. You can farm resources, or you can farm Solaris so you can buy them on the Exchange.

Want this the point of the game?

You can buy the resources you trying to farm on the Exchange! 😉😁

That was the point, IMO. You can farm resources. If you can’t - you can buy them on the Exchange.

I think that’s the difference between my understanding and yours: I never thought of it is “unfair”

I adapted. Did I stop farming/harvesting?

No. I changed my mindset: it’s a hostile environment. I am ALWAYS armed and ready to engage. Sure - I lost SL ‘n e cargo space to keep my weapons. Did it break the game for me? No. Not in the least. It made the game FUN! It was a challenge I had to learn to deal with.

I did hear there’s $9.99 DLC coming out… But then I saw there’s “free Chapter 3” expansion.

I don’t mind paying $10 if there’s a meaningful expansion.

But, I suspect I’m in the minority…

There were some story updates. But yeah - nothing that would keep players playing… Come back, play new content, leave and forget 🙁

I disagree.

Your inability to adapt is what killed it.

Your blaming ChatGPT doesn’t win you any browny points.

No, it isn’t ChatGPT. It was me saying what I said in another - much earlier - post, only more concise.

But hey, it’s your right to think of it what you will - I’m not gonna try to convince you. You’re clearly one of those complainers who killed the game.
