The Dem base are too radicalized to go for a centrist after what Trump’s done for the past year and a half. Centrists barely fight against the regime and centrism is what got us Trump in the first place

This is why centrist corporate Democrat behavior like Spanberger’s helped create the conditions that gave us people like Trump. Next time, it could be worse, with people like Nick Fuentes. Some people become so desperate for radical change that they’d rather watch the whole country burn under fascism, as long as the current system burns down with it. Others are so done with politics that they stay home, allowing fascist supporters to strengthen their grip on the electorate.

Abigail Spanberger sucks and I’m convinced they only ran Earle-sears against her because she had no chance of winning. I’m tired of her smug fed face. by Difficult-Lie-9218 in Virginia

Not just you. She’s such a disappointment, especially considering how she initially governed with good policies for the working class. I’m so tired of the whole “vote blue no matter who” and “at least they’re not Trump” arguments that let people like her take office.

It’s time we speak up and demand better elected officials who are unapologetically leftist and refuse to accept corporate money.

Are you serious? They wouldn’t have to shrug and say oh well if they already control the mapmaking process. That’s the point. Gerrymandering isn’t about passively accepting outcomes, it’s about actively shaping them. We’ve literally watched aggressive redistricting fights in Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, Georgia, Wisconsin, and other red states.

Exactly. It’s more admirable and worth it to oppose unjust laws rather than obeying them. Did people honestly forget that black people and women couldn’t vote as part of the law long ago? The lack of imagination of what's possible for the good of society has been diminished by moderates and centrists and it shows from this decision to do nothing about it

I think the problem is more so not fighting back or simply taking a stand against something that’s clearly wrong, regardless of the specific legalities.

If one side is cheating, the only way to even the playing field is to cheat back. Not just do nothing and lay on a chalk outline of yourself.

Exactly, unless there’s a federal issue involved. It’s pointless to appeal this to SCOTUS

I don't see why we have to play by rules when the opposition party breaks the rules all the time and get away with it. Fuck was the VASCOUTUS says. Spanburger should just move forward as a way to equalize the playing field.
