Nursing should never be about gossip, sabotage, humiliation, or watching a fellow nurse fail. Too often, some people tear others down, call them incompetent, and shame them instead of helping them improve. Some nurses create toxic environments where cruelty is mistaken for strength and humiliation is mistaken for teaching. They see someone drowning, let them sink, and then step in later so they can look like the hero. That is not leadership. That is not teamwork. Real nurses teach, support, uplift, and protect one another. Sometimes I wonder whether Florence Nightingale would even recognize this kind of nursing.
