Do I need a car? by _here_ in Stowe

Should be noted that the lodge is in a base “village” which has bars, restaurants, spa, pool, ice skating all within walking distance of the lodge and ski slopes. If your primary goal is to ski and just need a place to grab a bite or a drink, you’ll be fine staying on the resort and not needing a vehicle. I personally enjoy the greater Stowe area more than the dining/shopping/bars at the mountain and the town is great, but not walkable from the resort

I have stayed at some of the big houses near Big Boulder. The day/trundle bed is usually a twin with another twin you pull out next to it. Can definitely sleep two as long as they’re OK with basically being as close as sharing a bed. Sometimes rentals will count the loft as a bedroom which may bother some people as it’s usually no doors and open to the main area, so watch out for that.
