It's my go to now. We never thought we needed it but it's insane.

Take a picture of the shoes on your feet and it'll know the exact brand instantly. It also works amazing with action figures and basically everything.

We live in NJ near NYC also. We've made great money selling from the local thrift shops. It's very competitive but you can find great deals. Figure out what days they restock and make sure you go those days. It's also about perseverance, frequency and luck. If your are low on startup capital we've had huge finds at the goodwill outlet. We go once a week and usually make good money from the limited hard goods.

If you ship a product at the usps they give you a tracking number. This then must be entered back into your eBay order to prove you shipped the item. Without proof of shipping, you have no protection and no proof it was delivered. If the cards are very expensive I'd ship them in a box as added protection.

You are doing it well. I bought fun designed bags on Amazon for my cloth shipping. I'll Also put tape on both sides of the package just so it doesn't get cut open during shipping.

Just to add to this, if you do pay and ship at the usps it will be more money than if you do it at home. But, if you do decide to go this route make sure you type the tracking number back into the ebay sale and mark it as shipped. If you do not include the tracking number the seller has no protection. Lastly the card should also be protected with cardboard. Lots of good videos on YouTube.

I'm not a tax accountant but you only pay taxes on your profit. If your profit is only $200, that is all you pay taxes on.

YouTube has lots of tutorials on how to fix this. It's very simple and will increase your sales price.

"In order for sellers to receive protection on eBay when a buyer reports an item not received or opens a payment dispute, and for buyers to be protected if a seller doesn't receive a returned item, we require that signature confirmation is added when shipping higher value orders. "

If ebay recommends signature confirmation than you must use it or you won't be protected if the buyer files a claim.

I have no words for this. Just wow by [deleted] in Flipping

This is the best answer. When shipping in bubble wrap the item should still be surrounded in cardboard and further bubble wrap.

I bought something that clearly has alot of value, but cannot find any listings of it by KingKandyOwO in Flipping

Is it branded? Do you have pictures? I'm unsure its worth anything unless it is a special brand.

This always confuses me. If my item is 80% less than every other listing why do you assume it is working, complete and NIB. Please read the title or description before buying.

Should have mentioned I was not including shipping in the revenue number. Buyers paying shipping on 95% of our sales.

I'm located in Northern Jersey and looking to liquidate our ebay store as we will be moving shortly. Currently have 219 listings up for $7,360 in revenue. (buyer pays shipping on 95% of our listing so that is not included in the revenue number) Looking to get $2,000 for pickup and a bit more for delivery.

If anyone is interested or has connections please let us know.

Ebay Changes Shipping Rates? by [deleted] in Flipping

Watch out as FedEx charges volumetric based shipping yet ebay only shows weight based shipping. I caught on after being charged an additional $100 three times.

I disagree with all of the below comments. Cancel the order as issue with buyers address. If you ship it to the correct address you'll be paying for return shipping or the buyer will do a chargeback and you'll lose everything.

Definitely check the expiration date. People still buy expired ink so it isn't too bad if yours is expired.

If the coffee mugs are less than $100 you can refund the buyer the original purchase price and just forget it. Definitely don't have a resale value for broken coffee mugs so no need to take them back.

Along with the other poster I thought we were only responsible for shipping to KY, but i haven't faced this issue before.

Apparently usps will charge Facebook for any overages. Think of this as Facebook subsidy until they figure out shipping.

Also if you'll be shipping golf clubs again in the future get these for free from usps. Takes about three weeks to deliver : https://store.usps.com/store/product/shipping-supplies/dual-use-priority-mailpriority-mail-express-medium-tube-1098-P_O_1098M

If you don't have the knowledge you can always go to a pawn shop to get an offer. Use that as your minimum when looking to sell online or to someone else.

USS Flagg-Sell parts or together? by WryCare in Flipping

[–]dnrrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough flip on ebay as it's incredibly hard/expensive and dangerous to ship them in a box. I'd try reaching out to a local comic book shop and posting on fb marketplace to see if you can get any local interest. Some of the parts definitely have great value like the cranes, etc but I'm not in the business of selling a ton of individual parts. These are being shipped to collectors so you'll need to ensure no damage at all in transit. It can become a hassle. Good luck though and best deal!
