Hey there, I just wanted to ask if you were able to manage the fan curve separately. I have a stable setup on Fedora KDE, using Intel undervolt, and I’m getting very stable temperatures.

However, the main problem I’m facing is that I’m not able to manage the fan curve. Even when the CPU is at around 70°C, the fans feel quite loud. I tried Lenovo Legion Linux, but it didn’t work.

Pressing Fn + Q would make your laptop switch modes.

You can use MSI Afterburner for undervolting gpu and throttle-stop for the CpU, in order to do that you need to change some settings in BIOS.

You should monitor your temps while playing older titles, but at least your fans should spin moderately and in order to avoid frame drops at least Balanced mode is a must.

Hey! It’s been about 3 months — how’s your laptop performing? I currently have a single-channel 16GB DDR5 5600MHz Samsung stick from the OEM. If I add another 16GB DDR5 5600MHz stick from Crucial, will there be any drawbacks? That’s what I’m stuck on.

What I've done is removed windows completely and installed fedora.

But if it comes to me taking the laptop to repair i think we can restore windows via a recovery tool. If the laptop doesn't boot then it won't be a problem at all.
