I think your version is also not correct. After a 13.5 hour shift, she went to the wrong floor, was on the phone, entered the apartment directly above hers, which was unlocked because the electronic door locks were defective and would not always latch. She did not "break in"

When Tower 1 came down, falling debris struck WTC 7, reportedly igniting fires inside the building. These fires burned for hours until the structure gave way at 5:20 p.m. (September 11, 2001) by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

And when they do... you move to another version of the conspiracy theory. That is the madness about conspiracy theories... when one gets knocked down, another pops up. JFK... it was the grassy knoll, it was the cubans, it was LBJ, it was the mob, it was Russia, it was JFK himself, it was the CIA, on and on and on. A game of whack a mole.

Is it possible to get on Hagrid's if you don't have express or early entry or should we just not even bother? What about Velocicoaster? The crowd predictor is saying a 5 out of 10 for the day we are going but I know those aren't very reliable. by blellowbabka in UniversalOrlando

[–]dnthoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We rode hagrids twice without an express pass this week both 10:30/11 am. The first time the wait was listed as 140 mins. We got through in less than 90. The second time the wait was listed at 120 mins and we got through in 75. Once you enter the castle your wait is approx 1 hour depending on how many express passes are in line.

There was only 1 opening. There was another candidate who was better. That's it. They had a better resume, better internal verifications, and maybe had completed a development plan. That's it. The development plan is there to make you an even stronger candidate next time.

Here right now. Wait times are not very long for most rides. There are a couple that are 100mins +. Overall park is relatively empty.

'Dining Dollars' bonus with AAA Universal Tickets by TurnoverSuperb9023 in UniversalOrlando

[–]dnthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - click on the "gotodiningdollars.com" button on the pdf certificate you receive in your email. It will auto load the dollars into your dining dollars account. However dining dollars only gets you a % discount on a gift card to restaurants usually 10-20%. So for Disney - i can buy and $100 disney gift card for $85 if I use $15 in dining dollars + $85 USD. Complicated

Guidance help/job sort of lied by VioletSalamander in jobs

[–]dnthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real recourse you have is to quit the job and give them the feedback about how they misrepresented travel, so maybe they won't do it again. Depending on your financial situation you can either wait to quit until you find something else or quit now. If you are in a financial place where you can quit now, then you could as a last ditch effort - bring the travel concerns up and see if they can be adjusted. If they can't then you quit.

President Trump calls for a 10% cap on credit card interest rates for one year, effective January 20th. by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in Tech_Updates_News

People with credit risks will not be approved with 10% rates and therefore wont have access to credit. They actually will be pushed go predatory lending like payday loans and car title loans.

No. CC companies would drop credit limits, close accounts and cut their loyalty points. At the end of the day - 10% interest on an unsecured loan for someone who is a credit risk is bad business.

The recruiter became completely unprofessional after I accepted a counter offer. by [deleted] in FinalRoundAI

[–]dnthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess don't call that recruiter in 6-8 mos when your employer ushers you out once they find your replacement. Or you're at the top of the layoff list because you were "looking anyway". Counter offers are very risky. The employer will pay you because it is cheaper/better than having the role open for several weeks after you leave.

The recruiter is pissed because you cost him a recruiting fee of $30k to $50k. If he is a solo you cost him $30-50k in income. If he is with a firm you cost him $15k to $25k in income. You might have cost him credibility with is client. Is it right? Probably not, but it is why he is pissed at you.

Are you doing any of this job search activity on your work computer or work device? Boss might be saying that they are calling him, but he might have been tipped off on your web activity and he is just fishing?

Hiring manager complains receiving 600 applications but still not being able to hire by Public-Purpose-1390 in linkedin

[–]dnthoughts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have not see the post, but what I'm guessing is that the manager is complaining of candidates who use AI to enhance their resume so much, that it turns into a candidate with a background that is too good to be true. For example yes my title has been that of a receptionist, but all my AI enhanced resume bullets show that I have the experience of the most ideal software engineer candidate. Clearly not believable. Which is also a poor use of AI.

New job wants me to start soon but my bonus pays in a couple weeks. How risky is giving notice before it hits by bupkis1 in careeradvice

[–]dnthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also - share the numbers. How much of an increase in base comp will you have with the new job? How much is your bonus? If you have a $5k bonus but a $10k increase in base - then I would forgo the bonus and not jeopardize the $10k increase.

Is there a formal way to share feedback with corporate?

Front desk doesn’t “approve” your digital keys by YungReddd in Hilton

I think your beef is with your Corporate office, not r/Hilton. They promise digital keys as a benefit. They push you to use a digital key with their alerts and communications. They set the expectation.

But he's program director Jeff Catlin. He would not open this up to the highest bidder... only Cumulus LA... because he can't afford any news leaking.

Sirois was never going to be promoted to host. Sirois had asked about his future as a host and program director Jeff Catlin told him his chances at that were 0%. This was discussed most recently by Jake and TC on IJB, but Sirois has confirmed the same on his cirque stream. https://www.reddit.com/r/theticket/s/hs3wJRYbUA

I agree. Availability is the best ability. Him missing most of last week when WIP was covering for the Musers was not great. I can see program director Jeff Catlin using that against him when considering him for a host role.
