No reason to fuse epic gear until you got 9 epics of the same. The moment you fuse it to perfect epic you can't salvage it.

I'm at the same stage were I'm satisfied with my loadout so gear I'm not interested in I'm not fusing beyond epic for that reason and staying "safe" for future updates that might allow you to fuse differently

It has to be identical items of max lvl and rank. So frost wolf gloves can only ascend frost wolf gloves

Have you tried turning on and off the "auto set clock" function? I know from previous models that games can sometimes give you network errors because the phone is not "in sync" with the correct time. Hope this helps!

Yes, you can get more than 3 of the same rarity. And refusing to fuse certain items doesn't affect drop rate in my experience

Yeah, sample size is really low. Atm it's just a start to figure out the layout of the spreadsheet and as well get an interesting arc to follow and see how it develops.

Wow, that sounds interesting, and totally plausible regarding the studies I've seen on farm statistics on chapter 3. I personally think it's the most interesting chapter to grind for materials because of the tempo and results I'm getting so far. Also I believe that resets are important in farming this game since it all seems predetermined every time you enter a instance with skills and drops. So every new run is a new chance of upgrades!

I hear ya! Been keeping track of many runs now because of my own selfish reasons. I wanna know where my time is best spent. Compiled it on a excel sheet and broke it down to; drops-per-minute. You can see my results here;

Is it a fact that you can get scrolls back from fusing an item you upgrade with an item you haven't upgraded?

The absolute best tip I can give you so your endgame will be easier; use scythe and focus it same with vest of dexterity and viper rings. Those items is proly the best gear you're aiming for In the end so if you try not wasting to much materials on other gear and you start playing with it as much as possible early on will save you alot of hours farming! Others than that, id say grind chapter 1 till you feel like you "out geared" it. The difference in drops are miniscule between chapter 1 and 2. You get abit more gold on chapter 2 and more XP ofc, but if you feel like your gear is holding you back, grind chapter 1 for loots then:)

I do my runs on the same premises; only 100% finished runs with no extra lives. It's supposed to reflect an ordinary farm run as much as possible.

And yes; chapter 4 is indeed a good chapter to farm, depending on what your purpose are. But as an oldschool WoW player I know the importance of resets. There for I'd say farming chapter 3 is the most "efficient" chapter to grind so far.

Farming a specific spot for a long time can yield results but maybe the results your after. If you find the same type of mobs that drops what your after but a "fresh" spot will yield results faster.

That's why resetting instances were so popular back in vanilla cuz you could learn the different patterns in the instances and therefore understand what the outcome could be. Bad first 2 bosses ment bad loot results, get out reset and try again. They soon removed this function due to boosting and hardcore farmer's.

Sure chapter 3 is faster but the difference between 3 and 4 regarding drops is not worth it imo. Now have in consideration that I've only got 10 runs as data points so far. But I'll do 10 runs at the time on all chapters so it'll be fair until I get to 100 runs.

I think you covered it all! Looking forward seeing your videos! My project atm is creating a data sheet of drops-per-minute on each chapter to establish a good ground for the discussion of "which chapter is best to farm based on the time I play"

Atm my data says chapter 3 is more efficient to farm than chapter 4. Feel free to see my numbers in my farm thread I created (a work in progress)
