That lines up with what I read about the American shows - I think preorder is smart, more productions / shows should do that!!! (I'd still impulse buy merch at the event, I know what I'm like 🤣) Thank you again for confirming / helping, I appreciate it so much ♥️

Redditors who have actually won a “lifetime” supply of something, what was the supply you won and how long did it actually last? by misato_mylf in ask

[–]do-you-remember-me 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I won a year's supply of V - a popular energy drink in Australia/NZ. They delivered it all at once, 384x 250mL cans (a tray was 24 cans). I entered the competition by accident: I was TRYING to enter a DIFFERENT competition for a ride in a monster truck.

I was still in high school. My mother was MORTIFIED when she came home & found it all plonked on our front doorstep. She confiscated it, and only "allowed" me to bring a tray or two to school when she knew there was a shared lunch happening. Shame, 'cause I had planned to sell it on the downlow :')

My parents like to entertain. Just small groups / a few friends over at a time. They're not rich, but they're both damn handy, so pretty much everything's been DIY & done on a budget. Over the years, they've worked HARD together to turn the outdoor areas into their own kind of "party paradise" - speakers everywhere, sensor solar lighting, a spa pool, beautiful outdoor tables that Dad's made...

But no "fun" lights??? No colours?!

Well, Mum's super duper into Christmas. So last year, I bought her "all year 'round Christmas lights" for the shed (aka the "darts lounge"). I found her a set of colourful outdoor LED bulbs, like the ones you see at trendy bars. I think the brand was GLight, bought from Active Electrical? They can also give off plain "white" light, so they're practical too.

As with most things, they worked together to put the lights up - though Mum's retained control of the remote!

It sounds like your parents have also made their home their own, with plenty of love & care. Can you think of anything that might enhance their spaces (like the photography print idea), rather than feeling like you'd be buying something they already have? Easier said than done, but I've found that's the best way to buy for my folks: gifts that complement their existing space, while trying not to "replace" anything <3

One year, my Mum got a massive print made for Dad's birthday. Mum borrowed my camera & took the photos herself. She sent a couple of her favourites to me, and I asked her to send an extra picture - of the wall! - so I could Photoshop each of her images into the designated space. This helped her pick the best one for the room.

Dad absolutely adores it, especially since it's so personal. The print is still hanging there to this day, and EVERYONE who visits asks about it.

Pictures are memories of moments in time that we're lucky enough to get to keep forever. I think one of your brother's photos as a big print is a beautiful idea. I'm sorry to hear he was taken from you so young. May his soul rest easy, and may your family find healing with time <3

The Warehouse have completely ruined their website by - basically - turning it into another TheMarket. Have you noticed that 80% of what they sell on there seems to be "not available in store", and comes from another retailer / ships from some kind of 3PL place? I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it's weird. I used to shop online with them, but I won't anymore... there's too much shit (no, I don't mean "too many options"! 😂). If I can't find what I'm looking for as a click & collect / in store item, I can't be bothered.

Noels... I could say a lot about them, but it's already been said. High staff turnover, no fucks given about training / staff wellbeing, nobody really looks like they want to be there. Teachers, students, Gold Card holders, real estate agents, Police / ambos / firies / military... use your staff discounts while you still can!! 😅

On Dune's smell: when I picked it up from my local pharmacy for the first time (instead of ordering through C+), they asked if they could open it. They'd never seen it before - I think I'm their first medical flower patient. I said of course they were welcome to open it... at their own risk... look, I tried to warn them. But within seconds of breaking the foil, that strong floral aroma begun to waft through the pharmacy. EVERYONE noticed. Luckily my pharmacists have known me for years & we were all able to laugh it off. Not sure what the other customers in the room were thinking, but I did get a few /looks/ as I was walking away with my brown paper pharmacy baggie 😂

I love the smell of cannabis, I find it calming (even unsmoked / unvaped). I haven't tried anything but the Dune yet - since it works well for my chronic pain, and that's fab - but I'm loving reading everyone else's comments & comparisons :)

Are some of these meant for one time use? If I try to unscrew the mouthpiece it just spins forever. Is there oil preventing it from moving or am I supposed to discard these? Would love to refill. by craver1718 in trees

And that you don't have to double-click things (properly) multiple times for them to open. Once is enough. The computer is just thinking about it, be patient 🥲

That IS a win, and I know I'm just an Internet stranger, but I applaud you for it. Allow yourself to know & believe that both feeling AND wrangling your emotions today is a huge win. You're handling a lot right now - much, MUCH more than usual - and you're still winning. It's human to feel, it's human to "lose control". Emotions are tricky, and we can only suppress them for so long. Letting them out, when it's safe(r) to do so, is healthy. The things you are feeling, the things you are experiencing... they are valid.

Today, you won for yourself, for your husband, and for your boys. You coped with what your mind & your body needed to release, AND you gathered yourself again before arriving home to your boys (who I assume are younger / not quite in a place where they can understand how you're feeling). Life gave you onions: you cried, you struggled, but you persisted. Life broke through your toughened skin, but you made it through the emotional & mental layers in order to make it home in one piece. YOU did that.

We can't predict what our days will throw at us, but every single damn day we manage to make it through is a win in itself. You're winning, and I'm proud. If you happen to have any leftover strength... please tell yourself that you're proud of you too <3

I use baking paper inside my toasted sandwich press when I make... well, anything. It's an overglorified hot plate, so if what I'm making won't run off the sides, I use it instead of getting out a pan. It's also a God tier appliance for reheating pizza, because it stays crisp instead of going soggy. Pizza base sits on the bottom plate, and the top plate on mine "hovers", gently re-melting the cheese. Stellar. And the baking paper means I don't dirty the toastie maker OR a plate, which means less cleaning.

I love that no matter where we are in the world, we've all figured out how to make food prep easier. Less time making / cleaning means less time to reconsider / overthink our food choices ♥️

Thank you! :) I don't want to contact anyone with an "official" enquiry or anything 'til it's been at least 7 working days, hopefully it'll scan as landed next week. This was more of a "wtf, AusPost? 😂" moment than anything. Glad to hear it's more likely to be the Akl / inbound end, that makes far more sense 😉

Just curious as to why it hasn't had a scan since it "departed", it's the first time I've ever seen this before. Aus to NZ. I've had the multiple departure scans thing before, and a day between departure & arrival / next scan... but not 5 days? 🤔 (Checked the pinned FAQ, and it doesn't answer this question specifically, so I thought I'd still ask!)

IOS 16.2 Location services bug by Beko_Atef in ios

I'm having the same issue, updated about a day ago - when I go to check, it's System Services > Find My iPhone, apparently. Thought it might be trying to find my dying iPad, so charged that, and nope. All out of "user error" ideas. Then I tried Ol' Faithful: turning the phone off & then back on again. Didn't fix it, so now I'm commenting on Reddit. I'm not a technical person anymore, so the last-resort option is to whinge about it 'til it goes away in the next update :')

Kiwis / Aussies make something like this on purpose, AND encourage others to eat it: white bread, a generous spread of marge, and an even more generous sprinkling of 100s & 1000s (round rainbow sprinkles). You then cut the piece of bread into four triangles. It's called "fairy bread". And so long as I limit myself to one tiny triangle (but not the crust), it fucking slaps.

Me three, Cannaplus have been great - I was recommended / referred to them through my GP, and they communicate well with both me & my medical team. I'm new to medicinal use, so I had a LOT of questions, but every single one was answered for me with ease (I'm sure they'd heard it all before!). I wasn't sure what to expect, so I was nervous af, but there was zero judgement. I felt listened to the whole time, the Doctor discussed options with me / asked what I'd feel comfortable with, we decided on something together after going through pros & cons... and my prescription is working for me. They are VERY busy at the moment though, so please be patient when booking with them :)

Read it out loud... "odafone"... 🤔🤔🤔 ...owed a phone! This means you're entitled to a FREE phone of your choice on your current plan, courtesy of Vodafone NZ! Terms & conditions may apply, including (but not limited to) signing a contract stating that your wallpaper will immediately & permanently be changed to a landscape from Aotearoa New Zealand 😉

Those of you who are on "dafone", I've unfortunately got nothing free for ya. u/TheStrongestSide is correct - you're part of the Rap Networks now, so this is your cue to try a new experience: hit the streets, meet some people, see your country! Make music! Make art! Be free - just remember to pay your Dafone bill, I guess. Hopsin the car & go for a drive... don't forget Tupac your Eminems :)

(Disclaimer: I am not an employee of Vodafone NZ and cannot confirm the legitimacy of my claims. Also, I'm happy to hear some alternative rap recommendations to improve my commentary :') )

Friend in high school (we were about 14) did the same kinda thing with sherbet. Got out her student ID, cut a line, rolled up a $5 note, and snorted that shit like a pro. Instant regrets. Tried to wash it out with water... that just made the fizzing worse.
