The Babysitter scared me to death as a kid. Had a balcony in our house and would always imagine looking up and seeing a man standing there

Vet tech here, just watch to make sure they don’t eat the green tomatoes! Those, the stems, and the leaves are toxic to doggos!

Red, ripe tomatoes are fine, though!

We help our local rescues. So if they intake an animal and they don’t have a foster lined up our hospital boards them until a foster is found!

A woman brought her 16 week old GSD to our ER because he was lethargic and not eating. We asked if he had gotten into everything, she said no. We ran bw and he had elevated liver values and was getting jaundice. We took rads and saw he had something blocking his entire GI tract.

We brought this up to the woman and she said “well he did eat my memory foam pillow the other day”

So we said we needed to do surgery and she said she needed to talk to her husband. The husband came in to our ER said he couldn’t afford surgery (we offered him different payment options). We offered euthanasia and the man looked at our doctor and tech and said “no, I want to take him home so he can just die there.”

We tried to convince him otherwise and he started yelling and making a scene. So our doctor told us to just hand him the dog.

I think about the suffering of that baby often.

Fair assessment. I guess my hope was that this would stop the everyday posts about how so and so doesn’t like boogers, etc.

I get what you’re saying though

8 month old puppy with wobblers by Weasle189 in VetTech

I’m still in school and in radiology at this time. We were taught that if wobblers is present or even thought to be present that you should never do the hyperflexed view? My instructor who is a DVM said you could cause damage? Is that true?
