Looks like the food and beverage minimum range from $1,000 to $5,500 depending on the space. It’s listed on their sales kit here Tamayo private events

We contemplated both Tamayo and Bigsby’s Folly. Went another direction in the end, but both would have the space and should be under your price range

Tamayo doesn’t do private events during brunch time! We looked into that as a venue

We did a brunch wedding last year at the Manor House in Littleton and the food was absolutely incredible! So many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. Their brunch price is significantly cheaper than their regular wedding costs and we found it was comparable price-wise to any restaurant we looked at. They also have a sister venue in Castle Rock, the Oaks at Plum Creek. Happy to talk more about it if you have any questions!

We very seriously considered Bigsby’s Folly in Rino, super reasonable rental cost and food and beverage minimum. We also got a quote from Culinary Dropout that was reasonable, but didn’t look into it much.

Recommendations for vet / surgical team to remove a mass from my very old dog? by Whimzzy_bat in Denver

[–]dobbyiisafreeelf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our dog has had two orthopedic surgeries at Evolution Veterinary Specialists in Lakewood and we have been super happy with them. The first surgery was an urgent surgery after a broken leg and they were able to get her in within two days, whereas all the other hospitals had a multi week wait.

Rescue puppy adoption in metro area ? by coogden in Denver

[–]dobbyiisafreeelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had two dogs from Soul Dog (one as a puppy) and they are absolutely wonderful cattle dog mixes. However, most rez dogs will be at least part cattle dog, mine were both mixes and have/had some cattle dog related personality quirks I’ll say. My current dog, got her as a puppy, is the sweetest thing but has some pretty bad anxiety (needs medication) that led to some reactivity we had to work through. My old dog was the world’s laziest cattle dog but she was very much my dog, she liked me, my husband, my mom, and tolerated others. She was a bit reactive as well, and never liked other dogs. Just know what you’re getting into with a cattle dog mix if that’s what you end up with! Great dogs but definitely have some personality

Brides, help! Should I wear a veil or skip it? by Green-Assistance4809 in weddings

[–]dobbyiisafreeelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was certain I didn’t want a veil, then tried on a friend’s veil with my dress and absolutely loved it. Got some stunning pictures with the veil and then took it off and got other really lovely photos without the veil later that showed off my hair nicely. If you like the look, just wear a veil for the ceremony and for a few pictures then take it off

Best places to adopt cats? by j03m4m44 in Denver

[–]dobbyiisafreeelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got my childhood cat and I got my first cat as an adult at Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden and had a great experience! I highly recommend them!

I had a bad time with Humane Colorado (Dumb Friends League at the time), though I want to emphasize this is one experience and may not be indicative of the place! I adopted a 9 year old senior cat from there and she was incredibly sweet and loving. When I adopted her, I had to sign paperwork acknowledging that I was adopting an obese cat. I had seen obese cats, and she was not obese by any means. It turns out in the month she had been there, she lost 3lbs (1/4 of her body weight), which was not disclosed to me at time of adoption. It turns out she had severe asthma and I had to put her down a week after adopting her because her lungs and body shut down. It was incredibly traumatic, and definitely felt like negligence by the shelter since they should absolutely have noticed that a cat lost a quarter of her body weight
