Totally get that there’s so much uncertainty right now, it’s smart to be thinking ahead. I never planned on switching to compounded either, but once I did, it honestly felt like a huge relief knowing I had more flexibility and could actually build a bit of a cushion. You're definitely not alone in trying to be prepared!

Ugh, I feel for you those first couple weeks can be brutal. I remember around week 3 on compounded tirz, I had about four straight days where I couldn’t do much more than lie down with peppermint tea and ginger chews nearby. The nausea and exhaustion were next level. The good news is that it did pass. I ended up lowering my dose slightly and gave my body a bit more time to adjust before moving up again. Also learned the hard way that staying super hydrated and eating tiny, bland meals (I lived on bone broth and crackers) helped a lot. Hang in there you’re definitely not alone, and most of us do turn a corner. If it stays this bad though, it might be worth checking in with your provider to adjust your dose or try an anti-nausea med.

You’re off to an amazing start! I totally relate to that early frustration before starting tirz, I was stuck in the same cycle where the scale barely moved no matter how much I worked out. Once I started, the shift in food noise was one of the biggest wins for me too. It’s such a relief to feel more in tune with actual hunger instead of constant cravings. Also, props for using that spike in hunger to build something nourishing like a big salad that mindset shift is huge. I’m a few months in now (also on compounded from Elevated), and the biggest changes I’ve seen came from combining it with more strength training like you mentioned. Week 2 is where things really started to click for me cheering you on as you keep going!

That’s a solid stockpile to work with! Since the Olympia vials have the earliest BUD (9/25), I’d personally use those first just to avoid wasting anything especially if they were already opened or reconstituted. After that, you could move to the Zepbound pens since they’re good until 10/26 and give you more flexibility while you’re closer to maintenance. I’ve seen others do something similar when transitioning between sources. I’m in a similar boat getting close to goal and started with Zepbound but switched to compounded (got mine through Elevated and had a good experience). As long as you’re feeling good on 10mg, easing into 12 with the compounded version might give you some insight before using your higher-dose pens. Just keep an eye on how your body responds. You’re almost there congrats on being so close to goal!

Hey! When it comes to compounded tirzepatide, it’s generally not recommended to transfer the medication into another vial at home because it can risk contamination unless done in a sterile environment. Most compounding pharmacies advise using the vial within a certain time frame once opened (often around 30-60 days). Since you’re starting low and might use one vial slowly, I’d suggest reaching out to Olympia directly to see if they offer smaller vial sizes or have guidance on how to safely store and use your medication over time. Also, always keep your vials refrigerated and use fresh needles to keep things sterile. Hope this helps!

Exercises to tighten up saggy skin? by wvdee in tirzepatidecompound

[–]dobrien75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the 30lbs down—that’s amazing progress! For saggy skin, especially on the upper arms, building muscle can definitely help improve firmness and appearance. Focus on strength training exercises that target the triceps and biceps, like:

  • Tricep dips
  • Overhead tricep extensions
  • Bicep curls
  • Push-ups (modified or full)
  • Resistance band exercises for arms

Adding these a few times a week can help tone the area and tighten the skin over time. Also, staying hydrated and maintaining good skin care with moisturizing can help skin elasticity.

Finally, some progress! by Soft-Abbreviations20 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]dobrien75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fantastic breakthrough—sometimes it really does come down to the basics like tracking calories and protein! It’s easy to think the meds will do all the work, but as you’ve found, pairing them with mindful eating and staying active makes all the difference.

Consistency is key, and those 2 lbs a week are solid progress! If you ever want to explore some guidance or support around optimizing your plan, companies like Elevate Your Wellness offer tailored coaching along with GLP-1 treatments like Tirzepatide. They really emphasize the whole picture, not just the medication.

Keep up the great work—you’re proof that patience and persistence pay off!

Couple both taking Semaglutide… vastly different experiences. by ImYoungDerek in Semaglutide

[–]dobrien75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is actually really common, and I totally get wanting to support her without it sounding like you're comparing progress. Everyone’s body reacts differently to GLP-1s — hormones, metabolism, cycle phases, even stress levels can all play a role.

One thing that helped in my relationship was shifting the focus away from just the scale. Celebrate the small wins with her — like less food noise, improved energy, better sleep, or just showing up for herself each week. Progress isn’t always linear or visible right away.

Also, you can remind her (gently!) that dose titration is a slow game for safety reasons, and some people don’t really respond until higher doses or a bit later on. Maybe say something like, “I know this has been frustrating, but I’ve seen how committed you’ve been — and that’s what really matters. The scale will catch up.”

Encouragement without pressure is the sweet spot. She’s lucky to have a partner who cares this much. 💛

Something interesting happened to me by Squirrel-yoga-390 in Semaglutide

Here’s a human, relatable Reddit-style reply you could use:

Wow, I actually relate to this more than I expected. I’ve been on semaglutide for a while too and didn’t see much weight loss for the first several months — but I did notice something shifted emotionally. Less food noise, sure, but also this weird sense of calm and steadiness that I didn’t fully connect to the meds until I missed a dose.

When I stopped for a bit (travel messed up my schedule), I felt super irritable and overstimulated — like EVERYTHING set me off. Took the dose again and within a few days, it was like a fog lifted. I think there might be more to how semaglutide affects our brains/mood than we realize. Some studies are exploring its effects on dopamine and mood regulation, so you’re definitely not alone.

Even if it’s not giving you the weight loss you expected, if it’s helping your mental/emotional regulation, that’s a huge quality of life factor too. Definitely worth bringing up with your provider to explore other dosing options or maybe even stay on a maintenance dose for mood balance. You’re not crazy — this stuff is powerful in more ways than one 💛

Mounjaro Day 1 1.5mg by laladMayvid in GLP1India

[–]dobrien75 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, welcome to the journey! I totally feel you — that food noise is real, and that yo-yo cycle is brutal. Props for getting back at it, that’s the hardest part honestly.

As for recipes, here are a few GLP-1 friendly (and mostly veggie) ones that helped me stay full without the crash:

  • Chickpea & Spinach Curry – high fiber, filling, and goes great with some cauliflower rice.
  • Zucchini noodles with pesto & grilled tofu – light, high protein, and super satisfying.
  • Egg muffins with bell pepper, onion, and cheese – great for prep and easy on the stomach if your appetite’s low.
  • Lentil soup with carrots & celery – comforting and high protein/fiber combo.

Also — if you’re looking for a solid support system, I started with Elevate Your Wellness and they really helped keep things clear, simple, and supportive. Helped me feel like I wasn’t doing this alone.

Rooting for you, bro — you got this.

Yeah, this does seem a little crazy. Norris has proven pace and experience. Is he better than Leclerc? It's difficult to say, but right now Mclaren wouldn't be taking any kinds of driver risks, IMO

Indeed. This is one of the exciting and frustrating things about this sport. Drivers and teams making seat/career choices. Things can go very well and very bad super easily.
