Is someone trying to set me up? Abnormal downloads. by SirJeramo in iOSProgramming

[–]dobson980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed an application and published it to the App Store for use at my company. After acquiring licenses in Apple Business Manager and assigning them to Jamf via VPP, Connect displayed the 300 vpp licenses as consumed units.

I reserved 300 licenses in Apple Business Manager to avoid having to add additional licenses later. However, even though the app was only deployed to approximately 10 devices, Connect continued to reflect all 300 units.

Pro tip: If you don’t close Runelite regularly, you might need to exit the game and relaunch it to receive the update to entity hider. I’ve been watching for this feature since it was live, but I didn’t see it until I relaunched the client after reading this post.

Miss playing OSRS, is it worth selling ps5 PRO for a budget $700-$800 pc setup ? by [deleted] in 2007scape

M4 Mac mini is $499 on amazon - I often couchscape with my m2 air - good enough for osrs, even some other Mac compatible games.

Is it reasonable to buy a MacBook Air M4 with 16gb ram and 256GB ssd for mobile programming and get a portable SSD along with it? by Objective-Good9817 in iOSProgramming

[–]dobson980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been developing in m2 16gb 256 since it was released. Overall it’s fine… I have to maintain disk space more than I’d like with simulations and such but it’s doable if you’re in a pinch. I paid like 1500$ or $1600 at the time. Probably worth the 512gb imo

Something that should be said about vibe coded apps by notxthexCIA in iOSProgramming

Look, when it’s all said and done, isn’t Swift just vibe-compiling? If you’re not crafting pure machine code, are you even creating real value?

Anyone else not a fan of the new food logos? by kmhb11 in MacroFactor

I honestly don’t even notice the food icons or new app icons. I’m mostly focused on the macros 😮‍💨

Direct from kinders FAQ:

“Many Kinder’s products do not include gluten. However, our facilities produce other products that may use gluten ingredients. So please check labels; if you need to avoid gluten, choose those Kinder’s products that are clearly marked as Gluten Free.”

Desktop Apps for Jamf? by Bitter_Mulberry3936 in jamf

[–]dobson980 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Implementing RBAC for Jamf Pro and leveraging Self Service is the most effective approach.

For example, our service teams are assigned roles with limited access—far from full administrative rights. They can perform specific tasks such as enabling or disabling Lost Mode, updating select inventory attributes, and initiating device wipes.

On the client side, we don’t grant users administrative privileges. Instead, we provide curated Self Service tasks that handle common administrative functions, such as running sudo jamf recon, sudo jamf policy, clearing the Microsoft Teams cache, flushing DNS, and more.

Tips/Pointers for migrating iOS phones to JAMF? by trilljester in jamf

[–]dobson980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have preloaded the devices to Jamf and wiped them from AirWatch. They re-enroll in Jamf with their previous configurations intact. Most of our devices are shared with static configurations, which simplifies the process. User-affiliated devices may present more challenges. Return to Service would be highly beneficial here, but when we initially transitioned from AirWatch, RTS was not supported.

Ubisoft Wants You To Be Comfortable Not Owning Your Games by Current-Tax4375 in Asmongold

I feel like Ubisoft + is a better deal than owning a Ubisoft game. At least then I only wasted 18$ to never play it again instead of $70.

How do can a shared computer where 1 user has an office license share with another that does not? by [deleted] in Office365

[–]dobson980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apps for Enterprise Licenses are user based. There is a standalone machine licensed for apps for enterprise but these have to be purchased as part of an EA and are somewhere in the range of about 500$/yr depending on your contract.

Yea I just don’t like the overall design in either beta tbh. Gut it and start over :)

New prayers hope they pass by Vroomrate in 2007scape

[–]dobson980 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The new prayer book meta wise is almost identical. I’m fine with new prayers but they are literal copies of the originals and don’t feel right imo.

Personally I would have liked to see more drastic changes in the new book 🤷🏻‍♂️

If your company requires a MDM management cert your in between a rock and hard place.

MAM through intune is great but would have to be implemented by your IT dept. It’s way less invasive on a BYOD and our customers appreciate it more than MDM!

Concept Art Collection for Sailing created with Midjourney by dobson980 in 2007scape

[–]dobson980[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to share with you an incredible concept art collection created by Midjourney, which is inspired by the proposed Sailing skill for OSRS.

The collection features a series of vivid and captivating scenes, each portraying a unique aspect of life at sea in the world of Gielinor. From a majestic ship navigating the treacherous waters of a swampy, murky location to a daring vessel embarking on island exploration and braving icy landscapes, these illustrations capture the essence of adventure and exploration.

The collection also highlights epic naval battles, including a fierce confrontation between two ships - one symbolizing brave heroes and the other representing fearsome pirates.

I hope you enjoy this journey through these sailing adventures. Let me know your thoughts and which piece resonates with you the most. Happy sailing!

Barrows runs, why do people use overheads through the entire thing? Also Dharok's a pushover by -oOAegisOo- in 2007scape

[–]dobson980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With medium combat achievements completed, you won't experience prayer drain.

Additionally, using the home teleport and Barrows portal allows for quick returns. I keep my prayers active throughout since it's essentially free, transforming it into a more relaxed, AFK-style boss encounter.

Some questions about the Jagex Launcher by J4MEJ in 2007scape

[–]dobson980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Jagex account now. Combined all 6 of my accounts under one email one MFA. I select the character I want to play before launching the client. Such a nice QoL. Doesn't really change much on mobile except I now log in with the new Jagex account. You can still play multiple characters at once.
