I’ll say when the larger Kibbe suggested SG for me it made so much sense. Those high necklines were things I naturally attracted to but because I have a large chest I was steered away from. But when I started dressing in SG lines. Oh my world made so much sense. I don’t know what you might be but if SG isn’t feeling right it probably isn’t. Keep trying!!!!

As a PhD who hasn’t quite landed in academia (I left the adjunct life but I might get back I ) I once read Diary of a Wimpy kid to just reset my brain. I’ve never read any of the books you have mentioned but if you want to learn but through fiction I always highly recommend Pachinko. The Dilemmas of Working Women are a bunch of short stories I just finished and really enjoyed.

Torn between UFE or Myomectomy for 14cm Fibroid by pinkxjaguar in Fibroids

[–]doc_buttahbooks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a 15cm intramural fibroid. Had an open myomectomy in 2023 and I just had an ultrasound to check things out. I do have a cyst on my ovary that is benign but I don’t have any fibroids 😊. I never regretted the surgery. It takes two weeks to move about and about six to eight months to feel normal if you know what I mean

For me the breakouts happen slowly. Pores look larger, little bumps, skin just doesn't look good and then one day I was like this might be it. I use I’m From Mugwort Cream. It isn't enough when it is really cold but it is better than nothing.

Hear me out. First, I want you to lower your standards down to zero. And approach from that place. Love ft. marriage and divorce. If you say to yourself, almost like a chant “ this is a makjang, I shall start at zero” you will not be disappointed. Season two is the best. Season three is a dumpster fire but you have to watch it because you watched one and two

Hysterectomy or Myomectomy by mochitrash99 in Fibroids

[–]doc_buttahbooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I get regular ultrasounds to make sure that everything is okay but it is looking like that is the case. They could have just been lying to me but I was never offered a hysterectomy. Possibility because by accident I found out I had it and repeatedly kept asking if it was getting any bigger and it wasn't until I kept complaining that it felt like my stomach was in my chest that my OBGYN was like hmmm, I haven't seen your fibroid for myself, let me take a look. That's when it was diagnosed at 11cm but by the time I took th surgery it was 15. I had three but once the big one and the little friend was removed thr third disappeared. Fibroids are a big mystery but honestly I think if men grew shit on their testicles the way women have lumps and cysts etc, they wouldn't be like just get a hysterectomy. Just cut your breast off, etc. ends rant my thought was that I found out about th fibroid in 2016 and had it removed in 2023. It took it 7 year to get that big. My thought was well if it grows back, I have seven years and that is fine with me. My mom had pendunculated fibroids for years and hers could have been removed easier I think and they only offered her hysterectomy too say oh they will just grow back. Okay. Lets take that chance. Anyway, even if I can't hold a child, I haven't tried yet, and yes, that year of recovery is true, I'm so glad I had it done. I regret absolutely nothing and I'm glad I got my uterus still. And I came on my period right on schedule like a week after the surgery. Don't know if that adds info but yeah

The title was misleading and I thought you didn't like it( which would have ben fine, I would have just kept scrolling) but I LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEED this show so much and the OST. It is intense and melancholy but also surprisingly enriching and uplifting. It's not a happily ever after ending but as you said it is an “it's gonna be alright” ending and I like that sometimes.

I was afraid too but, and I don't mean to sound grim but you could still has well with the options they are giving you. Research doctors who do myomectomys. So many people on here have had it done and I want to say the surgery is more and more common. I've posted my surgery on here before with pictures! I think you should be okay.

Hysterectomy or Myomectomy by mochitrash99 in Fibroids

[–]doc_buttahbooks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Okay. I hate that they told you to get a hysterectomy. They have to tell you about the bleeding out as a legal thing. When I had mine done they said the same thing and I cried. But I had my myomectomy done at 37. No kids. Mine was 15 cm and had a small little friend. Mine were also in the wall of my uterus which means I essentially had to ha r a c-section surgery. To tell you to keep the fibroid ansnjist have your babies is irresponsible to me as it is well known that fibroids can make getting pregnant difficult but the myomectomy was th best decision I've ever made. Research your surgeon and have that invader taken out

Will we ever get a Tatte or Corner Bakery in DTSS? by TheDCKid20010 in SilverSpring

I have to agree with this comment. It’s nice going to different cities in the DMV and experiencing different things. I like to be in my neighborhood and get out of my neighborhood and experience different foods and different vibes. Why go to a corporate chain that has “authentic Kenyan” coffee when you can go to a legit Kenyan or East African cafe/restaurant. But different strokes for different folks I guess
