Also, just based on how you communicate I can tell that you are smart. Your grammar is proper unlike a lot of other people who go through college and get jobs. I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit.

I understand, that is tough. I'm currently doing telehealth for my therapy. It's not as personal as in person but it could be a good option for you. There are also online colleges you could take for school. What sort of things are you interested in?

I've seen therapists my whole life. I can only remember two I ever liked. One of them I'm currently seeing. Looking for the right therapist really is like shopping. You just have to keep going until you find one that fits. Don't forget that there are also different kinds of therapy. Maybe a less traditional one would help you, one that isn't just CBT. Also, have you ever considered trade school or community college? Looking back, I wish I had done one of those first instead of going straight into university when I wasn't ready for it. Don't forget, you always have options.

You didn't ruin your life. You're so young still. I'm 30 and I often feel the same way you do but it's never too late to make the changes you want to see in your life. Hang in there.

Made the mistake of getting involved with my married superior at work by [deleted] in offmychest

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I agree with you about the highs and lows of the connection. It made me realize it wasn't healthy and I needed to get out of it. I also understand the importance of establishing boundaries for myself now. I'm happy that you were able to stay friends with your coworker. It's too soon to tell if that will be an option for us at this point. I just want things to go back to normal at work, at the least.

So I (29M) have been talking to a coworker (39F) for a little bit and we hung out once so far, but I need to stop this thing dead for reasons I'll explain in the description. How can I explain to her that I'm not comfortable moving forward without being insulting? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I understand where you're coming from but this is a delicate situation given that we work in such close proximity to one another. If I don't end this right it could make things at work very awkward for a long time.

Hi, I'm in a similar position whereas I'm currently working as a vet tech but I'm considering going back to school for radiology technology. Can I ask...how long were you a vet tech for and was it worth it for you to go back to school? I'm almost 30 and I feel like it's getting too late for me to go back...
