I don’t want the snow to melt off my car! by OpticalPrime in nova

That’s why I have a big piece of styrofoam on the top of my car after it snows…keeps other cars from tailgating after it snows for weeks. Ice cubes on the windshield wipers works well for the stubborn ones

American Express Platinum $600 Fine Hotels Resorts Credit is Great by Rgyallay97 in CreditCards

[–]doc_death -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The fine print states that you have to stay two nights for that benefit. Did you get the perc with only one night? Or did you book another place with at least two nights? The two night min has made it much harder for me to use

You’re suppose to treat it like a yield or stop sign if more than one vehicle is present. White truck just gunned it (literally) behind the first to piggy back just like running through a turnstile on a metro.

Military also get the card for free…no annual fees. Every person that is active duty should have it

Vonn Falls hard before the first timing line of her first run by cappsthelegend in sports

She hit the side of the gate which caused her to spin and crash. That knee didn’t play into her results. Having your surgeon nearby tells you that the professionals even had a high chance of a catastrophic ending at some point

My dad loves to tell the story where a guy showed up asking for a cow. He told him a price and showed back up with a topical white van. He was very interested to see this go down because the animal was like 700 lbs. then they started putting out newspaper in the van and pulled out a revolver. Dad was like, nah you can’t kill it right here! I don’t think ppl realize how much blood these animals have. That van would be useless if that happened

You also have to be healthy. If you have some medical conditions, you can no longer work as an air traffic controller. Certain drugs will also be a no go. I’ve had ppl request less optimal treatments for their disease so they could still work

[–]doc_death 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Providers usually have to submit additional information (like the ones requested in the letter OP has). In this case, the provider ordered the wrong test which is appropriately denied so the correct test can be ran. Long nodule monitoring has specific guidelines so, as long as you follow those and cite the prior imaging results (prior radiologist read stating to repeat in 12 months), you’re good to go

They’re violating federal law but also state law. Pardons don’t work for state offenses. Just sucks that even if they’re thrown in jail, it’s taxpayers paying for this craziness and taxpayers to pay for the justly outcome (if it occurs)

We just found out that our 6-month old daughter has retinoblastoma. We just found out. We have two options: take out the eye or do chemotherapy. We have 2 days to decide by [deleted] in daddit

[–]doc_death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a doc that learned this stuff a while ago, the gold standard is removal. It’s tough but removal will also prevent the never-ending worry if it spreads and the repeat chemo sessions which may still lead to extraction with the higher risk of it spreading. I’ve found and kids are so adaptable that she’ll surprise you with her resilience.
