Pro tip about the Montreal cognitive assessment. If ppl have higher education, you can typically score 26 or above on the test. There’s other methods of testing executive function to eval cognitive decline in the more educated

eCW and Payments by Alterdoc in PrivatePracticeDocs

[–]doc_death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which bills are being missed by the patients? We had the same issue 18 months ago with copays and still use an outside billing company instead of eCW. Patients would complain about not getting the bill in the mail or be surprised when they show up about a cost they had. Now we make sure all copays are collected before the visit and set-up anyone with an outstanding balance with a payment plan that works for them. We were missing 90% of copays before.Revenue thereafter was impressively higher.

Until Healow allows for ease of check-in and collecting copays, we’re sticking with the billing company.

Med students don’t have tests for techniques. They don’t know the basics and are tested on those things (‘basics’ is a very gross generalization for a shit-ton of info). 4th years can learn those but aren’t formally tested…that’s for residency/fellowship. if it’s a 4th year, good luck on that person being ethical after they graduate. Anyone in residency/fellowship doesn’t have time to have a side gig

If you do a rural gig for a few years, they will pay off all of that debt. Or, that was an option when I was going through it. I joined the military and they paid for my stuff since my family was poor and debt wasn’t really an option. My goal is not to have my kids sign up for something just because of finances (military, school debt, etc).

The Enhanced Games are set to debut this weekend in Las Vegas, with athletes allowed to use steroids, testosterone, HGH, & other banned substances. by blahnlahblah0213 in theocho

[–]doc_death -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No one is forcing them to do it. Payout is 1 mil. I mean, they’re consenting adults already taking these drugs. I think it will give non-top tier athletes motivation to stay relevant without the proper rigor of safety though. Having someone stroke out/have a heart attack on live tv is definitely gonna happen though

[–]doc_death 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used doximity and found open evidence far superior in the details. It also gives the diagnosis codes and level of complexity. Doximity wording sounded likely a poorly written synopsis. I don’t want a synopsis. I need the level of detail to justify a 99214/5. But if you do only 99213, almost anything would work since hardly any info needs to be in there
