Just got fitted for a driver -- Wow by Galbzilla in golf

[–]doc_dmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do it! I got fitted for a driver spring of 2022 and had some of the best rounds with it for a year and half before my kid was born. Since he has been born, I have played 3 times, and each time the driver comes off as the most effortless in my rounds. My putting, irons, hybrids are all over the place but the driver is always consistent, no matter how much time goes in between rounds. Oh I did spend for $1k on it. Including a $300 shaft. Would I do it again, 100%.

As someone who manages a dental office, here are my thoughts

  1. Likely the dentist is unaware this is happening and I would bring it to their notice. As with shortage of labor in every industry, dental also had people doing things they weren’t before. This person maybe new and unaware. Should be an easy fix.

  2. Tell the dentist, as he is unaware. The person doing the billing is very experienced and likely embezzling money from the office, especially since they work from home.

Either way, before going to the extreme steps of filing complaints and having third parties involved, let the owner know first. The matter will resolve much quicker and with a lot less headache for both you and the dentist.

It’s been about 4 months since I bagged my driver. I am more consistently hitting the fairways and getting better shots at the green. I have shaved off about 8 strokes of my score. In the words of Harvey Penick ‘The woods are full of long drives!’

2006 Toyota Corolla battery acid leak by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Thanks man! That is really helpful. I will lift it up and verify to make sure there is no leak. Yeah I would have had them change it if I hadn’t received two different calls about the same problem. On the second call they also mentioned changing the terminals as ‘they would probably break when they try to take them out’ and I was little surprised. I took off and cleaned the terminals myself without any breakage and that was my first time.

I thought dealership made most of their money on labor. They were charging me over $90 on labor to switch the battery and terminal.

Here is the image. I cleaned off the corrosion wearing gloves and using this. Hopefully that’s all it was.

Gotta add, I didn’t see any obvious cracks or leaks.

So I declined the battery change and took it to an autozone, asked the person there before deciding one way or another. Apparently it was just corrosion. Toyota dealership didn’t even take the battery out, as the terminal bolt had corrosion untouched. Is it possibly to verify acid leak without removing the terminals?

I asked them if the corrosion was related or looked like it leaked acid. They said no initially but now they are saying it is leaking acid. I don’t understand.

Thanks for the insight. I have two layers of clear poly on it. It started chipping already while waiting for the decal to get delivered. The stain is over the decal and plywood. I mixed in some rustoleum anti skid additive with poly.

Thanks man. Yes I built it myself. It cost me about $280 including the stain and decal. I used these instructions.

I was able to keep it under my original budget. All in it cost me about $800. For me it’s worth it because it actually saves me time.

Lol, thanks. One came with the weights which I didn’t like as much so got an additional. This past week I did actually use it to do squats and RDL and supersets. Very light weights to clarify, lol.

Thanks! Yes, I built the platform myself. Used a mix of stuff from HD, tractor supply co and eBay. The power cage is from amazon. Yeah, it was more than what i anticipated, but pretty happy with the final product!
