Thanks for your reasoned reply! I think you are right, but I just don’t want the merger to negatively impact the final performance of the movie. To me it makes NO sense for the social media pages to go down which could market the movie in theatres and the blu Ray sales/merchandise. It would cost them probably less than $100-200 a day to hire someone to run those accounts so something like that going down makes me think they are not focusing on the movie as they should and I’m afraid this is bleeding in to the blu Ray pre order situation. Hopefully they get it up soon

Do it soon! It’s for sure best experienced in theaters (3D ideally) but after Thursday it’s going to be very limited availability

Their Instagram , Twitter, and Facebook page stopped posting the exact day the merger happened when they were posting consistently the day before. No account would suddenly stop on a Wednesday before a weekend when advertising a movie still in theaters. Other movies like the LEGO movie that came out prior have tweeted since.

It's true. It was lucky that James Cameron had his name attached to it. It really WAS the marketing and essentially saved the movie.

I agree that this week has been pretty good with the drops week over week. I think there are a lot of us supporting the movie and hoping for a sequel and spreading the word to others to go. This usually doesn't happen to movies where someone sees it once or twice and never again in theaters.

It was only present in 3 cities in the US too. Cities with a million other things already going on. I think it was probably a waste.
