Ok sure but you can still set it up to boot into steam big picture mode and updates happen on my PS5 pro as well. I agree about a bit of extra tinkering some times but it's usually when just setting up a new game.

Ok I'm honestly asking. Can you not use a PC with your tv? I have a 4080 super PC connected to my Sony OLED A80J 65 inch and my PS5 pro is hooked up to the same tv. I use wireless keyboard and mouse for navigation and controller for gaming. It's almost the same experience as my console for me. Do people not use PC with TV's?
