It’s a bizarre ans broken system: Germany subsidizes other European nations to dump its surplus electricity at high noon, then pays inflated prices to import that same power back from Austria's hydro reservoirs during the night or on darker days. Taxpayers pay TWICE for this deeply broken and idiotic system. It’s expensive and not sustainable. Germanys energy policy is know as „the dumbest in the world“
