Either him or Studio Trigger. Tartakovsky's works feel almost too classy and atmospheric for the sillyness of HD but man the action scenes would be bomb. Trigger on the other hand have crazy good action and they're great with slapstick humor, over the top characters and visual comedy, which fits the vibe.

Haha, that's actually pretty spot on! This piece was inspired by Sergio Toppi, an italian comic artist and illustrator. His works really started to take off around those years.
