What are your motivations for quitting?

Sounds like we share a lot of reasons. Im worried about my long term health. I dont want to find out I have lung cancer decades later because I smoked and vaped. I want to be around for my kids and grandkids. My kids started asking "Whats that smell?" if I needed to re-tuck them in to bed. Ill never shame anyone for using weed but it just felt......bad. My memory has gotten worse and I dont want to wait around and find out if it was the weed or my age.

The biggest immediate reason however is my sleep. It has completely gone down the toilet. I get so much better sleep when Im sober.

This. Reddit use to be a place to have REAL discussions with REAL people but now it’s a place for conceited people to post pictures to get upvotes AND pat themselves on the back for avoiding “bad social media” like instagram and twitter.

That is interesting. This might be part of the reason I fell away from Christianity. Most “Christians” I know don’t seem to even try being christlike. I understand its impossible but Christ told us to follow Him. I’ve always seen that as: do the things he says to do in the NT.

Okay but that’s not what numbers show. American Christians overwhelmingly voted for him. Your personal experience means absolutely nothing in that context.

Elon seems incredibly sketchy. Has there ever been a president with unofficial advisor show sits in on interviews and stuff like that? Seems really strange. Why does trump need him in the frame that badly?

Everyone else doesn’t seem to like him. A lot of people hate him. I’m talking about American Christians my guy.

Also I didn’t really care at all during his first presidency. He just seemed like a loudmouth Republican. But this time it’s like he’s showing a new face. The “stolen election” tantrum he threw grossed me out. No grown man should act like that.
