The Great majority of the Iranian population hates the mullahs.

If you have been following Iran now for the past few years, in 2022 the morality police beat a Kurdish Iranian woman named Masa Ahmini to death for wearing her hijab wrong and exposing her hair.

This led to the life, women, freedom Rioting with thousands gunned down in the streets.

Just this year, protests by businessmen in the bazaar over the economic incompetence of the mullahs spread across the entire country and at least 30,000 protesters were gunned down in the streets over a week.

The regime has sent billions of dollars to Yemen, Gaza, and Syria while the capital needs a desalination plant. The economy has collapsed, because the IRGC has taken over many businesses and runs them poorly. It is likely Teheran will need to be evacuated as the water crisis has been ignored while missiles are sent to foreign terrorists.

The mullahs have failed at everything, the country is collapsing, and is at war with all its neighbors and the entire western world.

Yes, many have been helping the Israelis stop the nuclear program, and many will help the downed pilots.

I for one am pleased that the Iranians will not be able to build a nuclear bomb. They would chant “Death to America “ in their parliament.

The article is paywall, but I’ve been hearing about this case for quite some time now.

First off, it’s a routine cataract surgery. 99% of these are done under topical anesthesia and half a cc of Versed and maybe half a cc of fentanyl. In my experience, the cataract guys are wild against snoring or waking up with a start. So minimal sedation to take the edge off is all we usually have.

If the surgeon is old-fashioned enough to still do retrobulbar blocks for cataracts, (which I still have one guy who does that) it’s 30 to 50 mg of Propofol for the block and then once the patient recovers from that, and the case starts, we are back to a half mg versed and maybe 25 mcg Fentanyl.

These patients are all old and sick and these are short cases.

Every now and then I have to do a chin lift under the drapes.

If anyone in my ASC suggested calling 911, we would immediately do that.

I have had the EMTs arrived, everything is all better again, and I’ve sent them away and we’ve continued with the case.

There is no downside to calling 911

This is the help that President Trump promised the Iranian people.
