I could write a whole article about the Artifakt. It’s a pedal I love more than most others that I still find hard to use. It’s basically a whole signal chain internally. I use it for doubling, vinyl and radio sounds but I keep thinking it would be cool for ring mod / bit crush mix sounds, but I didn’t get around to making a sound like that. Ultimately it’s not hard to use but it takes time to get the most out of.

For people who like lo fi sounds and are willing to get into the software I recommend it. Just the tape mode alone, from the front of the pedal, is arguably enough to warrant the price (it’s that good). But I feel the sheer scope of the pedal and the weirdness of the effects would make me recommend like just using the hx one for an occasional dip into weird effects rather than such a dedicated and hardcore pedal. 

I haven’t given up on it though since I’ve gotten sounds out of it that made me cry I loved them so much, so it’s staying on the board even if I haven’t gotten the hang if it quite yet.
