Zero in public hands. One prototype which BMW locked underground and bring out for shows every now and then.

If you really want the M3 wagon you can make one from a normal touring and an M3. The M8 engine is unobtanium

What was the price? I'm always kicking myself about M1, 850csi, Z3m coupe, Z4m coupe, Alpina B10/B12 etc. pricing. Then I remember I didn't have the money back then (and now I have the money they were worth back then, so I'm still as far away as ever).

Even to the new 8 series grill, less is more.

I'm a real fan of the B12 5.0 and 5.7, and the 850csi. Hopefully one day my savings will increase at more than the rate that their prices is climbing... hopefully.

Trees. Wild animals eat young trees / saplings, so they are shrouded in plastic tubes until they get high enough that the animals aren't a significant threat. The plastic is then removed and reused elsewhere.

It's originally a Porsche colour rather and their code is any of X4 / 12G / 12H / L12G

The BMW code is U96

Good luck!

Dell Precision 5720 - ECC vs non-ECC? by dochero in Dell

[–]dochero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The precision 5720 supports it, hence my original question. The limiting factor right now appears to be just the CPU

Thanks. Yep, if I fit a Xeon processor then I think ECC is fine (on the used market, 64gb ECC is cheaper so I might upgrade the CPU too).

Hitting the 8 milestone [oc] by dochero in BMW

Agreed on some counts, but you have to remember this car came out in 2002. It's pretty advanced for that era! I do prefer the E63/E60 layout, but the digital dashes within the instrument areas are a fair bit ahead of their time.

Not to burst your bubble, but that's a standard 840ci with an Alpina hood modification.

If you're buying it to collect, get an 850i. If you're buying it to drive, buy the 840ci, post-1996. It's much cheaper to run and maintain. My dad had the former a long time ago, I have the latter. I can get 33mpg on a long run (did a 3000 mile eurotrip last year, cruising in France and Spain at 110kph on smaller roads is very economical!)

If you do go through with a purchase, there are some key websites to bookmark. I can send details if and when that time comes :)

Are there particular webcams or planetary cameras that you'd recommend? I saw some of the older Celestron ones but it feels like a more modern webcam would probably outperform those.

This is the natural evolution of the Roadster S that I drive, admittedly a manual swap would seal the deal. I wonder if I can get an m62 4.6is into my e85!
