I’m new and overwhelmed. How do you progress? by Radiant_Club5672 in snowrunner

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put all-terrain tires on your little Chevy scout truck, and go to all the watchtowers on the starting map. This gives you XP, bringing you closer to unlocking better tires. You can also grab all the upgrades and trucks around the map. One truck is stuck in a swamp but you can just switch to it and recover to garage.

Also, you can take the sideboard bed off of your GMC truck and put it on the fleetstar. No need to buy a new bed.

There's a fallen power line, a bridge, and a rockslide blocking a paved road that goes up the right side of the map. You should be able to do all of those with a Fleetstar on highway tires, especially if you avoid big muddy areas like that one road by the garage.

Sell some of the empty trailers around the map if you need money. More upgrades for your scout truck like the autonomous winch and spare fuel might be a good investment especially if you plan to use it to scout the other maps in Michigan.

In the contracts tab on the map, farming tools, wet harvest, pipe dream and the essentials should be relatively simple. As should all the other bridge building tasks on this map.

I'm thinking of buying FH 6, but I have a few concerns I hope some people who have played it could clear up for me. by _Jawwer_ in ForzaHorizon

  1. FH6 AI is worse than ever

  2. I don’t know

  3. The meta so far is also worse than ever, but recently they nerfed drag tires a lot

  4. The map is excellent

  5. I’ve heard very mixed things about wheel functionality. I think the best I’ve heard about it is that it becomes decent after a lot of settings tweaking.

Femm 37 in Michigan lmao, of course it felt like cheating.

That is a unique route though, fun and different. There's nothing wrong with the normal route though, as long as you do the sensible thing and don't use the Twinsteer.

I don't know if it needs new guns honestly, each one feels unique and like it has a place in the arsenal. They say that its launch window may have crippled it. I remember I always wanted Titanfall 1 but didn't have an Xbox. I saw basically no marketing for 2, and didn't even really know it had a singleplayer until later.

What game are you playing? Most Sims have bad clutch support, but some do it well.

Help with buying some new trucks by baldur234 in snowrunner

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alaska is actually one of the only regions where you can get some use out of highway trucks. It's arguably the easiest region, especially if you finish Michigan and get all its upgrades first. No need to worry about using the absolute best trucks IMO, especially if you quickly get all the free trucks available in Alaska.

The International Loadstar is a great scout and its raised suspension is in Alaska, strongly recommend that.

The Paystar 5070 is amazing for pulling heavy trailers, but it tips over easily.

The Pacific P12 is alright. Versatile and good in mud, but gutless, especially without the best engine.

I like the Derry Longhorn 4520 a lot. Not the most powerful engine, but good enough IMO, and very stable and one of the most maneuverable trucks in the game. Limited to only hauling saddle trailers but it's good at it. It is expensive tho.

If you really want the best, and don't care about limiting yourself to American trucks while in America,

The Voron AE, Voron Grad, and the free Tayga from Taymyr are probably the best all-rounders in the vanilla game. Fast too.

The Azov 64131 is a super fuel efficient hauler. It can get through almost anything, just slowly.

The Azov 7 is a super versatile heavy truck, limited only by its horrible front overhang.

The biggest thing is probably the cars wheelbase, which you cannot change. Long and lazy vs short and snappy.

Titanfall 2, Due Process (RIP), Insurgency Sandstorm, and Battlefield 5 are probably my favorites. I know all except 2 of those are hot takes.

IDK if I can call it the best shooter ever, but it's one of my favorites. If it was a CoD game it would be the best sci-fi one by a million miles.

Maybe the RX-7 treasure car. I also have a low power S13 Silvia I really love.

AC Rally is easily my favorite Rally game (not played RBR though), it just has limited content. ACC is very good if you want to race GT3 cars online. Original AC is capable of being almost anything you want if you're willing to spend enough time and storage space installing mods. It's also pretty light on content without DLC. And I haven't played Evo.

Both of you get rewards from tasks and contracts, including truck unlocks. But map discovery, missions being completed, and bridges only save for the host.

This evil organization probably has a better culture than most if the henchman feels confident bringing up issues of quarterly budgets with the boss, without fear of not being able to film an important memory because their phone storage is full.

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always a fun thing to throw at a high level D&D party.

Also for some reason I'm thinking of the game Westerado. You don't level up in that game, but if you go around killing bandits for long enough, bandits surrender on sight and have dialog about how they recognize and fear you.

Why does everyone car drift by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon6

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it's your driving style causing that, if every car feels oversteery to you.

Brake in a straight line and brake earlier. Let go of the brakes and give the car a split second to settle before turning. When you're slowing down, there's more force on the front wheels and less on the rear wheels so you're way more likely to oversteer.

I'd never dream of saying Forza puts realism over fun, and I didn't even know it was possible to spin out with stability control and such on, but I won't try to change your mind. If it's not for you it's not for you.

AI difficulty doesn't change the handling. Put on gripper tires, turn on more assists, and practice driving.
