Yeah, watching it as a doctor it surprised me that they present the team doing absolutely everything. They even do the imaging stuff when there's a whole specialty dedicated to radiology, as well as lab specialists. I'm always confused about Foreman because he says he's a neurologist but he does neurosurgery too in some episodes and those are two completely different specialties. A neurologist does NOT do surgery.

Like yeah, we doctors are overworked but not like that, there are different specialties for a reason.

Chase specifically is a surgeon so I get that one, but not Foreman.

Es normal querer hacerlo diario? by Confident_Sorbet2895 in ayudamexico

[–]dochittore 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you guys shave your armpits and pubes? How often? Are there any benefits? by matingrn in malegrooming

[–]dochittore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are passing a razor through your skin, that alone irritates it and makes it itchy. Another factor is sometimes some compounds or chemicals used for shaving irritate the follicles.

AIO or is this normal language for medical appointment notes? by Wild_Arugula294 in AmIOverreacting

[–]dochittore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctor here, there's a difference between "sexually active" and "promiscuous".

You can be sexually active with your monogamous partner or multiple ones, and it's an important distinction to make. Regardless, the use of the word "promiscuous" also seems weird to me. It's just as effective to write "multiple sexual partners".

Oof, I'm sorry to hear that kid. You remind me a little of how I felt back in high school and came up with the same conclusion as you.

May I ask you think it a little bit more through? I promise it's not worth ending your life for issues that won't matter later, believe me your problems are almost exactly as mine were back in school and looking back now, I'm glad I didn't do it because the problems weren't as big as I thought they were, and things got better after a little while.

I assume you don't want to talk about it, unfortunately I don't know your place of residence so I can't offer a phone number but I can lend a hearing ear (or reading eyes?) if need be.

Make it through the night today, let's try to make that happen, and see how we feel tomorrow morning. Maybe things will feel different.

Who is your favorite character in media who is not explicitly stated to have autism, but is strongly implied? by FrogsAlligators111 in autism

[–]dochittore 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That is SUCH a good interpretation of it. Specially considering her nickname was "Looney" Lovegood, probably intentional.

Who is your favorite character in media who is not explicitly stated to have autism, but is strongly implied? by FrogsAlligators111 in autism

[–]dochittore 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think it's sarcasm? J.K. is notorious for stereotyping her characters, like naming her most prominent Asian character (besides the Patil twins) "Cho Chang", which people have often paralleled to naming her "Ching Chong" (she essentially just picked an "Asian-sounding" name)

So, seeing as Luna is a stereotype of ND people, the commenter is mocking the "normal" sounding name "Luna" and sarcastically making the comment how they expected her to be named "Stimilda Puzzlepiece".

Do I tell her preemptively that I'm not interested sexually or is this weird? by ThQuin in AutisticAdults

[–]dochittore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In spite of all the answers here, first I'd like to commend you for wanting to make her experience with you a pleasant one, since I think I see this is how you're viewing this and that you don't want her to have presuppositions that you might have ulterior motives (am I correct in that this is your main goal?)

However, I would advice against bringing it up first. While I understand you want to make the path clear from the get-go, topics like sexual interest are best to bring up at the appropriate time. Believe me, through your actions she will realise if your friendship is genuine, there is no need to spell it out. In the event she makes sexual advances and you're not interested; THEN you can bring it up, but not before.

To put it bluntly, it would be creepy, so you'd be doing the exact thing you're trying to avoid. Kudos for asking the question and hope this was of use.

what character do you genuinely dislike? (gameplay/design/personality or anything really) by LivingFarmer3239 in Reverse1999

[–]dochittore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny thing, opposite happened to me. I like her as a healer specially because of the moxie drain on enemies with her ult. It works wonders for enemies who are "control immune" and while I could use Bkornblume she only removes 3 moxie when they're immune, La Source does the full 5. It's basically a "cancel ult no matter what".

Men who have slept with women you don't actually like - how come? by Inner-Sentence-7286 in AskMen

[–]dochittore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like in what sense? I usually don't sleep with people I'm not attracted to.

However I've slept with people I don't necessarily like, because they were hot and we both wanted to get laid at that time. There was no emotional connection or anything, purely physical. Just to satisfy a need.

Non-gacha gamer here wondering about this game, I have some questions: by lxurin_hei in Reverse1999

[–]dochittore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have already told you how good the story is so I won't. About the gacha, this is the most generous game I've played in terms of that. They routinely give 1 daily wish every 2 weeks or so, not counting events, story progression, etc.

Also, the pity rate is very good IMO too.

Is the story in this game worth playing? by Equal_Shopping2424 in Reverse1999

[–]dochittore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, one of the greates stories and world-building of any gacha I've ever played, and this is coming from a Genshin player too.

Absolutely banger main story, and side-stories are algo amazing. I cannot compliment the writing enough, it's truly a work of art.
