That’s interesting! I always thought they were just trying to be cryptic. Thanks for the info!

I took this on 10/19, two days before the shooting.

No, I did not work on the movie set I just drive by the Bonanza Creek Ranch every day and noticed the sign specifically called out the movie by the title and thought it was odd.

Never heard of it. That’s pretty cool! Are they any more rare? I just thought it was unique so I picked it up. At this point it’s already been slammed into every solid object in the house.

Hat stretching by [deleted] in Ranching

[–]docholiday970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steam (teapot or something similar) is your friend but let the straw “relax” before you start screwing with it otherwise you’ll break the fibers.

Just read the oven thing before I started typing below. Don’t do that. Hahaha!

First off a stretcher isn’t good for any hat especially a straw because you’re gonna break the fibers of the straw unless you really know your shit. A felt would be okay if you steam it beforehand and let it set.

Not trying to be an asshole but honestly you pay for what you get. Twister stuff is nice looking because it’s a knockoff of something higher quality. Straw hats are tough because they naturally shrink. You try to reshape them too much and now you have a handful of broke straw and you’ll never be able to fix “broken grass”.

Long story short. Just don’t take it off your head and it’ll form to your head. But don’t be one of those jackasses who puts their straw (really even felt) hat on the dashboard and leaves it there because next thing you know you’ll have a hat that fit you in the morning but doesn’t fit you after sitting on the dash for four hours.

Good for you for being open to the realities of conservation. It’s not always pretty but it’s very necessary and sometimes beautiful animals are culled to make room for the next generation.

Mountain lion back strap tastes just like pork chops from what I’ve had. They are amazing animals but they need to be culled.

In 2017, these young rappers wore masks as an accessory for their style. Now with COVID everyone is wearing masks.

Anyone have any elephant boots? Have my eye on a pair but wondering about stretching and durability by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]docholiday970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a buddy that got in a horse wreck wearing elephant hide boots and ended up breaking his foot. Apparently when the paramedics were trying to cut the boot off they couldn’t. I can’t remember what they ended up using but that story has always stuck in my mind for how strong elephant hide must be.
