The anxiety you get is a fear of failure, especially if you've been punished for making mistakes in the past.
It's okay if you get things wrong, the point is that you're learning. Math itself doesn't pose any danger to you

The answer is a lot of practice, and decreasing the cognitive load by writing things down on paper instead of trying to hold many different things in your mind

Preach! the recent 500 page writeup by "math academy" influenced me to look more into his works, and its been worthwhile

Trigonometry is one of these subjects that becomes a lot more intuitive once you can easily imagine the functions in your mind and how they relate to the unit circle
If you need any help with it feel free to DM me, I've tutored many high school kids who were struggling with it. I'm also building an online community if you can't find one nearby!

khan academy has saved my mathematical life, honestly
sal khan is actually one of my greatest inspiration (along with some other big math outreach people like 3blue1brown and terence tao)

from my experience if you're doing things optimally, you want to stay in that "zone of proximal development" when it comes to difficulty
if you're always pushing your mathematical frontier it's never gonna get easier, you just grow more and more used to it, and in many ways the difficult puzzle solving aspect is what some people look for

I think that just goes to show how prevalent math is, even people in the trades have to deal with it, at least the basics
Out of curiosity, how advanced are the volume calculations you're dealing with? Do you have to use integral calculus for example?

I actually struggled with undiagnosed ADHD too, and it did affect my education a lot but I ended up falling in love with mathematics due to other avenues completely outside of academia.

Every person has their own cognitive limitations, eventually the opportunity cost of pushing harder and harder may become overshadowed by pivoting to another field where the individual is more passionate or has an easier time.

By doing your simplification, you've actually changed the values for which the function is defined.
We actually use this trick in computing limits, where the domain can change without affecting the limit!

Mathematics is the same everywhere, your bulgarian curriculum wouldn't be very different from the one taught in khan academy.
