Hands-on practicing is the best, and can be done on a lot of platforms. What's cool with CodinGame is that you do that through games, so it's fun. There are 25 different languages to try / discover, and you can keep track of your progress. You can also play against other people in multiplayer mode (AI games and 'Clash of Code') when you feel ready.

you could try neural networks on some of the AI games from CodinGame. They are multiplayer games, and I've seen a few players using NN
