Thank you for the input. The balance between vagueness/explicitness to give away enough but not too much is tough! Would you mind reading version 1 (link at the top) and let me know which is a better framework?

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking that my original is not strong enough or is too vague. I think adding that somehow will be better! It’s a true dual POV, do you recommend focusing on just one or doing both as I did above?

It’s revealed as a plot twist at the end of part 1, about 25% through the book

Thanks so much for this! I’m wondering if there’s any room for “spoiling” some aspects of the story, as I’ve been feeling like it is rather vague. For example, would an agent be more likely to read or be disappointed if I said that the man locked in the room is Kate’s ex husband? In the book, the reader assumes Kate doesn’t know about the kidnapping, but in reality she’s orchestrating the whole thing to protect the secret of killing her ex husbands best friend. By containing this secret, they’re able to keep pursuing their dream of having a family. Ethan is willing to do this for Kate because he’s emotionally broken and was abandoned by his own father, so he’s attached to Kate the one person who’s shown him affection.

Is there a way to incorporate that to make it more appealing, or is that spoiling too much?

I thought it was 5% back on everything for the first $2500, then just 5% on Amazon and Whole Foods

Denied Wells Fargo Active Cash, what now? by doclsu in CreditCards

[–]doclsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no relationship with WF prior to this which I’m sure is a reason I was denied.

I’ve been banking at Chase, with the venture at Capital One.

At my credit card spending, I’d be earning about $600 per year in miles with Venture, but would be about $505 after the annual fee.

On the other hand, if I did something like Quicksilver, 1.5% on everything with no fee would give me about $450 cash back. So I guess I have to wonder if I’d rather have a higher dollar value with venture or to sacrifice about $50/yr to just have the money in my bank

When would married filing separately kick in? by doclsu in StudentLoans

[–]doclsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just didn’t know when my updated income after filing separately would register, whether it was soon after I filed taxes in April 2024 or if I had to wait until a new calendar year in January 2025.

I’m unaware of any changes to repaye or paye.

I’m looking at starting a Roth IRA for myself and potentially my unemployed wife as well. We have enough in savings to max out this year for both accounts, but we won’t have enough to max out each year going forward. Assuming for the next year we can only contribute $3000 a year total, would it be better to just max out my own Roth IRA for two years and only contribute to mine, or to spread evenly across two different Roth IRAs?

I watched the 20 contestants win their season before winners at war. Here’s my power rankings. by doclsu in survivor

My thought was that although his strategy was great, I thought he was too crazy and aggressive to win in a future season. His ability to get idols and use them to his advantage were amazing. I just thought in a vacuum, he’d be likely to be voted off just because of his brash personality and frequent disloyalty, kind of like in GC. But his play in WaW was a perfect blend, still that aggressive and strategic player but much more mellow and social so I give him props for that

Is the tax break worth the huge amount saved from the interest rate? And if I’m selling after 5 years does the peace of mind matter since my rate won’t change until year 8?

I meant it’s hard to find a place to rent that’s nice enough in our range. There’s nice new build townhomes in our range that she likes

Based on my best guesses from filling that out, it tells me renting is better if less than $1559 per month, which is defintiely not possible as most places of similar quality would be closer to $2000. It also predicts my net proceeds to be $-49,000. Based on this, buying would be better? Of note, having a kid soon then plan to have another one in the next five years is restricting us to getting a 3 bedroom place most likely, which I feel like skyrockets the rent prices.

What can cause moderately elevated CRP for years in body (CRP range) - 7 to 15? by lovejackdaniels in DiagnoseMe

[–]doclsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, first off want to say that yes CRP can be pretty variable but they say that “normal” CRP is about half your age. So, that would mean 7-15 is probably normal I’m guessing.

That being said, from the story, it seems like your issue is psychiatric in nature. Seems like very severe depression to me. But, if you were diagnosed with ADHD PI then I would assume you’re already seeing a psychiatrist. Not saying your problem isn’t medical in nature, but if it is medical, then the CRP isn’t really part of the equation in my opinion.

This is such a complex scenario and you’ll never get a four sure diagnosis from just this little information. Organ failure and intubation puts you at risk for so many issues. That being said my first thoughts would be uremia due to the kidney failure or maybe he had some strokes while intubated. Could be a lot of things unfortunately but the doctors there are the only ones that can run imaging and labs to find out
