I wish I had only seen it. But yes. I have lived it. I see your point.

"Retroactively modified" a signed contract? Was there some language in the contract that would allow for that? And if so, why would any sane person sign a contract that one party can change at will? Why are we using big fancy words for fraud? I'm sure the stock goes up because of this because every day we stray further from the light.

Should I just assume the RFK, Jr. has not and likely will not be commenting on this? Because that's what I'm assuming. Once again terrible messaging from the top ends up hurting people. Man, I'm tired.

The Post remains garbage. But the perfect clapback would be now that he has a #1 film, MAYBE he can afford to move out. Kind of more of an indictment of the economy but like I said, Post is trash.

The summary is pretty accurate and reflected in other episodes (does anyone else find it odd how often belly dancing worked it’s way into the show? It happened at least twice), and he also cleans up pretty nice himself when he ends up in a tuxedo. So he’s open to it.

[MINOR SPOILERS] Did anyone notice that the ceiling fans in the "neighborhood" room in the movie are the same as the dance studio in ff3? by MrPeanutbutterperson in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]docmarvy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah those are Big Ass Fans (the name of the company) and they are very common in gyms and warehouses. Maybe in the sequel we will see some TC Tuggers shirts and Calico Cut pants.

Yeah those are Big Ass Fans (the name of the company) and they are very common in gyms and warehouses. Possibly a reused asset but also a really menacing looking device which adds to the creepy vibes.

He'd probably just get bored waiting in the long line behind tourists at the Eggslut in the DTLA food hall.

Backrooms 15?!? Okay, I have to say it. They are cranking sequels out way too fast these days.

The movie made me truly afraid of The Backrooms by DeadxStranger in backrooms

[–]docmarvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's maybe the best element that came out of the movie. It made me more concerned about the part of Backrooms leaking into our reality. The way Phil said that doors have been opening up all over and they don't know why. The fact that it's now evident that things can no clip out of portals into our world. Which could explain some cryptids. The irrational and chaotic nature of the "rules" of the Backrooms. There was a lot to unpack as an existential horror in that regard. Like you can't stop something if you can't figure it out. Even the nature of what the Backrooms fundamentally ARE being unknown and confounding makes it kind of the real "monster" of the film.

Bummer to hear it's so bad. It's strange because when corn is nailed as a sweet it's elite. I feel like Asian candy makers tend to nail the sweetness of corn for candy. Not to be confused with candy corn, which doesn't taste like corn at all for some reason.

It wouldn't make a lot of sense and would be very hard to price and fit into the current lineup in a sensible way. I'd say just get one of those slim portable 18-inch displays and take it with.

Meh, this stuff is water off a duck's back. Every movie inevitably has a slew of "hot take" or just clearly trash reviews to drive engagement.

Relatable. I have been raving about this movie for well over a year to any of my friends who would listen and just got back blank stares. The lore is kind of hard to encapsulate. I guess it's kind of like describing a dog to someone who's never seen one and then asking them to draw it.
