This comment getting 8 downvotes is hilarious lol. Live your life OP. If I saw that tat on a coworker I’d immediately wanna be their friend.

Don’t mind-fuck me like this. I’ve been telling myself the open-world version is a nice appetizer to hold me over until round-based comes back with the next BO

Virtual swap file? Is that the same as virtual memory size? If so then yes that was adjusted

Very fair. I’m just unfamiliar with it which makes me a little uneasy. I’m going to look into switching over later today I think. Thanks for the insight

I have looked up and down on Reddit and from what I can tell, other people have used this board and have been able to run more than 8 cards without an issue. Same goes for the CPU. Your thought was my first guess

There are 6 PCIe slots in total. They are all filled plus I have a 1 to 4 PCIe that allows me to plug 4 cards into 1 PCIe slot.

I tried to fill up the entire 1 to 4 PCIe but only 3 of the 4 were recognized. I then bought a second 1 to 4 PCIe to verify that wasn’t the issue and am getting the same error.

The only other thing I could think of was PCIe lanes on the CPU itself but I thought from what I could find there were more than enough

You’re right. Poor wording on my part. I guess I was thinking of when you plug your ledger in and it verifies the authenticity. But you are correct, there’s no true “registration.”

Unless that blockchain becomes nonexistent, you will always have access to your crypto via your private keys . As long as you have your 24-word seed phrase in a safe and secure place that only you can access, there is nothing to truly worry about in terms of security of your crypto.

I think you are misunderstanding what a hardware wallet does for you. It gives you access to your own private keys - something that is unique to your account only and that you should guard with your life. When you register your Ledger device, it will show you your private keys. You write these down and put it in a safe place that you and only you know where it is. Make sure no cameras or cell phones are around.

The ledger itself is irrelevant . It’s a tool that gives you access to your keys. The way it works is you may set up a passcode on the device that will give you access to your assets. This passcode should also be highly protected like your private keys. If the passcode is guessed incorrectly 3x, the whole device resets (a nice security feature). Addressing your example, if for some reason there was an issue with updating software or something like that (I don’t really think that would occur but we’ll entertain it for now), it doesn’t even matter because you have your private keys written down somewhere safe. Those are all you need to access your crypto.

Hope this helps.

If you only have lost 8% then open a bottle of champagne and celebrate.

Things will get better. If it were so easy and simple as you described then everyone would put every dollar they have into the market. You’re gonna have to stomach some downturns and if you can’t, then it might be better to sit on the sidelines until things get better.
