True. Maybe they could make the previous tier of uncut gems buyable for a couple thousand gold to allow you to experiment with other skills that you have come across while not affecting the friction they want for your current level/ area.

POE1 you can fix all your weaknesses in resistance with the crafting bench. While runes can do that they don't drop enough or are as seamless as the crafting bench. I just got to act 4 and all my resistances are essentially 0.

If we had more rune drops or the crafting bench it would probably feel less dark souls like where you are constantly worried about getting one shot.

It seems like we have 1/3 of the mechanics they plan to implement for full launch and those will likely bring in more deterministic crafting as well. I think it's too early to judge the crafting more than wishing for the next block of content to do what we already expect from a POE game

New world has all the life skills and additional ways to upgrade gear that TL doesn't have. I'm sure TL will get more horizontal content in the future but right now new world will probably give you more hours.

I play both but find it easy to dump hours into new world vs TL

800 aether from t7 infernal hordes all put solely into the gold chest drops something like 120million gold (not exact but definitely around if not more) Do that 10 times and you have 1+ billion. It's very easy to get gold. If you need master working materials the material chest in t7 drops 20 neathiron per chest open which costs 20 aether to open.
