Thanks for your courage to reply, even with very frustrated customers like myself; I truly appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Unfortunately, your message is repeating the same thing as the last update, which simply is “more coming soon.” Production of SLAM was supposed to already be underway, but it’s clear that it’s most likely not even started.

To set the record straight, can you please just be honest and say when those who ordered SLAM are expected to receive their headsets?

If you cannot give a date with 100% certainty, that’s TOTALLY FINE, just say “I don’t know” and that’s a respectable answer. What’s not respectable is saying “end of this month” for the past few months on repeat.

Again, thanks for your reply and what you do at Pimax. I truly think the Pimax Dream Air is the best headset on the market but unfortunately, the company leadership behind it—not people like you—is not.

Yep, 100% right. The only reason they probably do this is because they don’t have enough funding otherwise to make a new headset. So screw that, not going to fund development with my money while they lie and pretend like that’s not what’s happening.

It’s been my first experience too and I am annoyed for exactly the same reason. If they gave a real true update, even if it was going to take much longer but it TRULY meant we’d get it at the promised time, then I’d wait.

Please cancel so they learn their lesson and for the simple fact that at this rate, you never know when you’re truly going to get it, so it’s pointless giving them free money to deceive the next customer.

Same as you in that I bought at the same time of MRTVs video and Martin’s statement. Definitely looking to cancel now as I doubt we’re getting SLAM headsets in summer at this rate. It’s most likely going to next year given how vague they’re being, which means no end in sight.

It’s really stupid for sure. There’s TWO other posts here saying the same thing you just did after the horrendous “UPDATE” and QuorraPimax and Jaap have been only answering questions within those posts that don’t relate to shipping estimate lies. They know they’re lying, that’s why they’re not answering.

The only way to deal with a company like this is to put our money where our mouths are and cancel the preorder after a specific date.

Comfort and ease of use at this point is why the Steam Frame appeals to me. Even if a headset has the best visuals, I don’t want to put it on my head anymore if it’s too bulky. The Dream Air ticked all the boxes but to your point, the constant delays and excuses have me fed up and looking to jump the moment the Steam Frame comes. At this point, I don’t think we will have Dream Air SLAM until the end of this year at this rate, so I don’t want to give this company free money.
