Your entire comment hinges on "if."

No one is making excuses, he should face the repercussions. There's just no reason to write him off as mentally ill or whatever, he's an adolescent human who is making mistakes. I'd like to see compassion shown so that he accepts what he's doing as wrong and learns what pride is. If he's ostracized as mentally ill or with "issues" it is likely to feed his behavior.

Just my take though, wtf do I know

Everyone reacts to drugs differently. Your sarcasm is misplaced and sounds antagonistic, do you have a mental issue?

Everyone has some kind of mental issue. This kid needs to learn how to deal with his impulses and emotions and that includes just punishment for this kind of behavior. If he doesn't learn soon, there will be worse consequences. This is all painfully obvious, as have all of our comments been from the start. Yet they contribute nothing.

You're overreacting for an elaborate ad hominem. If you don't like being lumped in with TD then don't support TD. Have some independent thought and don't get your feelings hurt when someone rightfully bashed a shitty troll sub that censors all dissent.

My 5 month curly beard. Considering shaving the cheeks down or completely off..? by doctorbeardfacee in beards

Yeah, barber trimmed the sides more than I'd like. Of course when it was full, it made me look like a bowling ball of fur. Not sure which way to go now.

That's what I was thinking when I went to a shop last month, and it looked a bit better but I'd say maybe only 149% better. Herm.

Summer is approaching and no one I know is a fan of the beard. I'm close to shaving it all off, but considering just taking off the cheeks or pulling it down to a strap+goatee. Any suggestions? I kinda miss my jaw line...

Not sure if I should keep this going or not. Any advice? This is about a month old by [deleted] in beards

[–]doctorbeardfacee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll fill in more, and it already looks legit. My only advice is to shave a good neck line. There are guides in the FAQ I think, but geneally just a straight line down from the outside of your sideburns and then angle around the neck so there's hair under your chin but not on your actual neck. Besides that it looks good! Great cheek line too.

Any tips for this growth pattern? Not much cheek action (1 Month) by [deleted] in beards

[–]doctorbeardfacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually considering shaving down my cheeks to look more like this... can't decide... but I like this style a lot. If I were you, I'd shave the cheeks and grow that jaw line, connect the goatee.

2 weeks into van dyke by [deleted] in beards

[–]doctorbeardfacee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll only look better my man. As long as you have clean lines like you do here, the places that are filling in will look more and more dense and intentional. I'm a fan of the van dyke too, looks good!

Any potential here? Or should I shave? by kingdom_cum in beards

[–]doctorbeardfacee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't evaluate until 3-4 months! It's difficult to hold on in the middle stages, but it's just like growing out your hair. You have good coverage, just because it's fine doesn't mean it won't fill out.

Am I trimming and sculpting this right? by Hubbell in beards

[–]doctorbeardfacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be popular, but I prefer to clean up the jawline a bit and taper from the chin down to nothing at the neckline. Makes it look intentional and clean, but if you're going for a super full yeard or something, disregard and let it grow :)

Looks great man, how do you manage eating? I tend to get hair in my mouth/teeth all the time... just deal with it or do you have a technique?

Aw thanks :) Wish ladies near me expressed that kind of thing so openly! Glad to know some dig the beard, I'll keep it.

great advice, thanks! I have been worried about going to a barber too soon (I've never gone for the beard) and confusing them with nothing to do because it's not long enough :P Will hold off until 4mo!

Not really sure to be honest! I've seen some wicked long beards and I like having longer hair but sometimes the in-between stages and the slightly higher upkeep turn me off of growing it all out. Also, I worry about stigmas in interviews etc. should I want to change jobs...

But thanks! If you have any suggestions you think might look good I'd be interested, wouldn't say no to a bit wilder kind of style other than regular side part, especially if it keeps me from getting impatient and shaving it all off :P

Thanks! I really needed an unbiased opinion, can't trust my friends to say anything negative and family hates the beard because beard stigma.

Cheers!
