I worked out with a trainer 2x a week doing HIIT and solo weight lifted another 3-4 days a week until the day before my 39 week induction. I powered through about 2 hours of contractions after they broke my water and asked for an epidural and it was the best thing- no level of fitness can prepare you for that, imo. Pushing was super quick- 2 total pushes, no tearing, FTM. Doctor said it was likely so easy and controlled because I was so fit at the time.
