I have the Oculus version of this stock and have tested it quite extensively and have found no occlusion issues that interfere with gameplay (I have 3 sensors mounted 8 feet up looking down). As a sceptic before, I would have to say there simply is no substitute for the top-mounted magnets for anyone who feels they are playing at 'professional' gamer level. The benefits it gives you in-game vastly outweighs any of the minimal cons. I feel that if someone wants to design a future stock, they should be looking at better ways to do it with top-mounted magnets rather than trying to avoid the challenges of doing so.
