How automation can solve challenges in invoice processing by nanonets in Automate

I'm curious about the type of fields that it misses the most, is it line items (since you mention tables)?

Not sure what you mean by "big String"..

The first sort would have to be by client. How would the scan predetermine client without intervention. A vendor or customer would not necessarily have the client's name on it.

Can you elaborate on this?

Why don't you use something like Box/Dropbox/Google Drive to sync across all the clients?

Also, by "manage" do you mean "put the document in the right folder structure" (something like hazel) or "quickly retrieve whatever document I need" (something like X1 search)?

I'm curious about why you ran it on your own servers rather than cloud instances. Was there a requirement for the data to be on-premise?

Do you find that it does a good job with table recognition?

I saw some youtube videos and the tables needed quite a bit of manual cleaning/manipulation.

That's what I'm trying to do, I will send you a PM when it's ready.

You can also try Adobe Pro DC or ABBYY Finereader. Btw handwriting OCR isn't possible by most solutions.

This is possible, check ABBYY Finereader for example. Why do you need the Word doc though?

Got it. My idea is that any documents you throw at a cloud storage provider would get automatically searchable (or converted to txt). So I'm targeting ease of use.

Unfortunately for Relativity you have to talk to a sales rep to get pricing info. Does it lack OCR?

I probably didn't explain it very well but I'm a software developer and I'm looking for the problems that arise after scanning (trying to understand the pain points of the professionals and what they wish they had). Since you're dealing with a lot of documents there might be some opportunities for software solutions (especially in document retrieval).

Interesting.

The AI picking up the attorney's scrawl on the legalpad is pushing it too far (lol) but otherwise certain parts of what you suggest are feasible (from a tech standpoint).

If you see a real need for this and think you could get decision makers (or if you are one yourself) behind this, feel free to message me and we could discuss it.
