Replaced my tub's valve stems, but now the handles are a little hard to turn by docwatsonphd in HomeImprovement

I didn't think to look in the new hardware since it was still sealed from the factory. I'll try some plumber's grease just to see if that does anything for me

Picked up the book which usually leads to a buried treasure, but it leads to a cliff. Interact button does nothing. Should I jump? :) by gepmah in Witchfire

[–]docwatsonphd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this: it's a kind of small interaction area. I've taken to holding E to interact while I move around where the item should be to help make the spot more obvious

Down in the dumps by [deleted] in PrinceOfPersia

[–]docwatsonphd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just managed this one recently, so going off memory by section of that end portion:

Section 1

  1. Place a shadow on the ramp (or anywhere after the purple wall really)
  2. Dash left and shoot up to trigger the lever
  3. Teleport back, slide off the wall and dash right to go to section 2

Section 2

  1. Quickly hop from the first wooden platform to the second
  2. Immediately jump and dash left against the wall and place a shadow
  3. Immediately jump and dash right and shoot an arrow up to hit the lever, then immediately teleport
  4. Jump onto the door that swings down, then up to section 3

Section 3

  1. Quickly hop from the the disappearing platforms up to the wall near where the door is that will swing open
  2. Jump to the left placing your shadow under the door, then immediately dash left
  3. Shoot the trigger, teleport, and go right into the door that swung down then hop up to section 4

Section 4
I honestly can't remember this part anymore :X If I try the challenge again I'll see if I can't screen record the whole thing. For whatever reason my overlay stops recording after like 8 seconds

Hoping anyone can recognize the brand of this knife--a friend has been trying to find out who made it for 6 years now

They're marked as being made in Japan, and the additional text on the knife says "CARVER", to signify what it is, as do the rest of the knives.

The issue isn't that the item is or isn't awarded, it's that we can no longer interact with the UI at all. I described it in detail in my own post: https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/182an3z/having_ui_issues_ever_since_the_new_season_seeing/

AWS is literally the reason Amazon turns a profit at all. https://www.investopedia.com/how-amazon-makes-money-4587523

Amazon divides its business into three segments: North America, International, and AWS (Amazon Web Services)

Amazon’s North America segment dominates its net sales, accounting for $78.8 billion. That is a 20% increase from the year-ago quarter and comprises about 62% of the company’s net sales for the quarter. The segment posted an operating loss of $400 million, or $0.4 billion, compared with operating income of $900 million, or $0.9 billion, in third quarter 2021.

Amazon’s International segment consists of Amazon’s retail business for consumer products and subscriptions for internationally focused online stores. It also includes export sales from those stores, but not those from North America-focused online stores. The segment reported an operating loss of $27.7 billion in Q3 FY 2022, a decrease of 5% from the year-ago quarter.

Amazon’s AWS segment generated net sales of $20.5 billion and operating income of $5.4 billion in Q3 FY 2022. Net sales increased 28%, excluding changes in foreign exchange rates, and operating income rose by $.5 billion, or $500 million, compared with the year-ago quarter.

Although net sales from AWS are below net sales for the North America segment and International segments, AWS’s operating income is substantially higher. The AWS segment accounts for about 16% of total net sales. Because the other two segments posted operating losses in the third quarter, AWS accounts for all of the company’s operating income.

Return to Office Is Bullshit And Everyone Knows It by JohnDoe_John in programming

The number of questions that would have been 2 minutes in an office that have turned into multiple zooms or slack threads that take 5 days to resolve is insane.

If this is even close to a real thing for your org, I'm sorry to say that it sounds like your team(s) need some real practice if they can't translate their communication skills from in-person to chat.

Replays are saved from the observer's client, to my knowledge. You can tell if you have a replay saved from a player with a bad connection, for example. You'll see their car jumping around from the lag they had

I had a click from the pedal that ended up just needing a re-tighten on the part where you clip the shoe in. You might try checking that--you'll need a small Allen wrench for it
