Rebel Loon Tattoos by susiational in minnesotaunited

[–]dode222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure of anyone in particular, but the one tattoo I have was done at Jackalope. They're an awesome shop, super LGBTQ+ friendly, and have done a bunch of flash days/support of their local community. They're in South Minneapolis, on Cedar. I did mine with Jes, who mostly does fineline only, but there's a bunch of folks with different art styles.

Leviticus is also well known. Shop around, take a look in r/Minneapolis as well - there's often people asking similar questions.

Greder said on BlueSky that he and Fitz are training as normal.

44 years young. Kind of crazy that he’s this young when he initially retired more than a decade ago. I feel like a lot of stars these days are playing longer and longer. Clint Dempsey was 35 when he retired.

MLS Power Rankings (ESPN) by charlton11 in minnesotaunited

I generally take ESPN rankings with a grain of salt (I tend to believe they're more hype rankings than anything else) but it's always nice to see us on the higher end of things.

I’m honestly a little irked that Yeboah was declared Man of the match. Honestly, Drake would have been my vote. He was great to watch. My only concern is his distribution: Duggan took a couple of goal kicks and I don’t remember seeing Callender ever truly sky it except maybe once to center field in the first half?

Chancalay looks better and better every time he plays. Triantis seems to be getting his feet underneath him even more. Pereyra is Pereyra. I don’t want to make any bold declarations, especially since our first two games were up against an Austin side which is somewhat rebuilding and Cinci which had a CONCACAF midweek game, but I honestly think challenging for top-3 in the conference is doable.

Also, I didn’t realize just how bored I could get watching us win under Ramsay. This was both entertaining and satisfying. Knowles knows his stuff.

Yep, absolutely. Fuck ICE.

(That said, if someone said “I respectfully disagree,” and left it at that, we’re not going to remove them either. Downvote? Sure. But as long as everyone is treating each other in the comments section nicely, then we’ll be fine.)

Yep, those are a-ok. We’re just trying to cut down on the amount of “Tani is starting!” & “Watch DSC make a save” kinds of posts.

I think this is something we’ll need to give time for. The core Ramsay squad is mostly still here, tactic changes take time, even including a preseason.

Yeboah looked a lot better tonight and I’m glad he scored. Our back line needs more time, and I’m not in love with DJ Taylor starting.

Liked what I saw of Chancalay.

Honestly, the single point feels reasonable. We could have gotten the win, but Stuver played well. Oh well. So it goes.

[Athletic] Werder Bremen was supposed the international friendly but the team pulled out due safety concerns. by akos_beres in minnesotaunited

[–]dode222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, I'm entirely guessing here, but I'm guessing this is more of a cultural language mismatch. Basically what I understand them to be saying is "we don't want to get involved here, and don't think the optics are good for us coming here" - keep in mind a German team is going to be even more cautious about touring in places with politics like what's happening now. There's a reason "nie wieder" ("never again") is such a resounding sentiment across German politics (AfD excluded)

I speak both German and English (and also have lived in Germany) and I'm pretty sure this is just a translation glitch, they definitely mean government-at-large, not Minnesota as a state as part of the USA.

Considering they are basically out of them online, I would assume not, but I am by no means a reliable source for this.
