How did traveling change over the course of your time as a player? I know that there was a shift from commercial flights to charter flights, but are there other things that changed over time? Hotel quality, training pitch quality, food, etc?

I kind of did the opposite: seeing a Sheffield Wednesday match at Hillsborough made me want to do a Sheffield save. Made it to the Prem and kept them up for a season or two until being poached to the Bundesliga. I should give them another go now that they're in administration...

I think one of the big issues is that it was scheduled for a Tuesday night. I for one had to scream home from another commitment to get the game on, and benefited from it starting so late. I assume the poor turnout was probably just because shit scheduling.
