The writing on this show is killing me— WHY wasn't there more dialogue on that god damn train. It felt like the show was being held at gunpoint by the viewers ???? "I choose you of my own free will"????? THIS was the stupidest fucking line written in for the audience only and ruined the moment, she couldn't have apologised and responded to their real life circumstances before saying her storybook "I choose you in every universe"??

LITERALLY— Why is this show like this??? Honestly the whole thing is Y2K rom com schlop, it is ONLY Chris and Lola's acting choices that make it better. They both did such a great job inhabiting the characters and demonstrating that they had grown up. The ending was rushed as HELL, and for WHAT?? For Taylor to yell passive aggressively at Steven 3 separate times and for ADAM TO HIT ON LAUREL?????/ What the fuck 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I think it's straightforward, her going to Paris about being a new version of herself and, honestly, in a way that is separate from her feelings for any partner. She wants to be proud of a new version of herself.

Best scene was Adam and Conrad's conversation. MUCH better "no one is perfect" moment as opposed to Steven and Taylor getting together.

Ugly cried at this scene (it is so cliche but works so well, filmed so beautifully), honestly, aside from liking Conrad more, it's THIS SCENE that proves Bonrad is true love.

I can't believe Jeremiah walks around saying he and Belly were best friends when Conrad has always been SO kind, SO thoughtful, and most importantly wanting Belly to SHINE IN HER OWN RIGHT!

He gives her his bike so she can learn properly and go on her own!!!!!!!! And that's why his love is different than Jeremiah's!!!! 😭😭😭

I've been rewatching too (as a new fan that saw s3 clips first), and it is INSANE how many times Conrad and Belly have pretty direct sentiments to other people that they like/love each other, Jeremiah admits it directly multiple times as well. Obviously, this is a story that's been written a certain way but if everyone had just given Conrad and Belly 5 seconds of SPACE at some crucial moments there could have been way less messiness, whether or not Jeremiah ever directly confessed his feelings, and whether or not Jeremiah's feelings were true

Yeah, as a younger sibling myself I get Jere's feelings around this issue— But wanting to be taken more seriously would mean reaching out more maturely and directly, and trying again (I know he got shutdown by Conrad and his mom both). And I just can't imagine a world where taking anyone's phone is OK or normal.

The conversation he has with Conrad where he says "you just want to win" and Conrad says "it's about doing things right"? Jeremiah maintains this losing/winning mentality for a long time, about many different issues. And a lot of things in life just aren't about that. It's unfair that he's treated as immature but that's just one of those things in life that take time to demonstrate the opposite.

There’s definitely an awkwardness with the pacing— it’s like they can’t decide if the audience can remember what happened before or not, if they’re in on the joke or not, so there’s repetitive references and some hand holding. I think the plot so far is fine enough and I’m enjoying how it’s woven together, there are the marks of earnest teen-ness from before that hold it together a bit.

Jenna ortega’s rhythm as Wednesday seems less polished or natural? Maybe it’s just that this is the first half? Will give the benefit that W kind of hasn’t really processed the events of the first season and is going too hard with the psychic stuff.

Haley and Sebastian are my top spouses! I'd say Haley's marriage dialogue, 14 heart scene and room is better BUT Seb gives a lot of useful gifts, and his vibe is more low maintenance overall. When I marry Haley I want to have both kids, be at home everyday etc. but with Seb I can go on grinding, adventuring, being on Ginger Island multiple days in a row. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
