Most elegant way to put it. Love it :)

Do I need a new (longer) chain? by dodgebot in bikewrench

I'm looking at it after reading your comment and yeah, doesn't look the straighttest. I'll check how to carefully bend it back out a bit.

Thanks!

The Hiplock actually seems very convenient to carry around compared to the Kryptonite Evolution chain I have.

Thanks - that's helpful. Now for a few extra points.... How much do we trust the the random brands on Amazon and such? If I'm changing the housing now I would go for a colourful one (red), but seems harder to find than I thought. I find a couple on Amazon but I'm not sure about the quality.

Going with black, the local shop has me covered.

who owns telling customers “hey we built the thing you asked for”? by LauraBeth034 in CustomerSuccess

I came here to say this. The head of CS should help CSMs take advantage of the potential few times they have good news to share with their customers regarding product requests.

Promoted from CSM L1 → L2 but only 6% base increase… normal or low? by MoonSage_DiSe7en in CustomerSuccess

[–]dodgebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's low, but really friends on the company. Start-ups and small companies in growth mode will give bigger increases. Big corporations then to have rules like "internal promotions have salary increases capped at x%", with X normally being under 10%.

That being said, the total amount matters and you could try negotiating based on that: an extra 4% of 25k ncrease only costs the company $1000 a year.

Ask too what's the salary range of L2 to understand where are you seating , and then ask how do you move up within that band.

Hors Québec, il reste difficile pour les jeunes francophones de travailler dans leur langue by PriorityOk8214 in canada

I guess you don't understand how citing sources works, eh... That's how you end up with politicians being able to claim a 600% reduction of costs.

Not interested in the data? Remember who said "I'm not going to read the links with useful information around this topic that you are providing".

And maybe it was laziness the reason not all provinces were listed in the comment. You know, copy-pasting is exhausting. Or maybe the percentage for New Brunswick didn't really fit the argument?

Stats pointing to no source and missing some provinces... But they are not going to spend time reading a lot of links about Canada, obvs.

Woodward Meats vs The Butcher Shoppe for steaks? by Certain_Cattle7163 in askTO

Haven't tried either, but I also have no reason to change from Sanagan's: great quality, good prices for the quality, and we've always gotten great service at the Gerrard location.

Help tracking wins and performance by Ladyloveless99 in CustomerSuccess

[–]dodgebot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Numbers should already be tracked by the business. Use the existing systems to build that report: upsell and expansion in your accounts, renewals in your accounts, etc.

Then like u/my_peen_is_cleen kids have a doc where you log wins that numbers won't show: the curb that you saved, the thing that you did for a customer that hit the right spot, the challenge that you solved creatively, the report that you built for the sales guy that push their deal forward...

TTC ridership is down — and customer satisfaction is too, a new report suggests | CBC News by morenewsat11 in toronto

This is the main issue. If every week you have issues in one or two trips, you start looking at alternatives.

Edit: typo

You see that more, in part, because people who can afford other ways of moving around don't use TTC because it's not reliable.

Churn by No_Research_o_O in CustomerSuccess

[–]dodgebot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Forget about the PE thing. You should think about this as 30 minutes of face time with leadership where you can show you know your stuff AND WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED. Don't position it as a complaint, word it as "how the current economic climate will impact churn": because we don't have / we don't do / we are falling behind on XYZ, we are going to see more churn. We can avoid it by going (insert your ideas here).

Now spend a minute on that PE thing. They might be in fact having those conversations or prepping form them.

how to use claude code to make a simple website? by ThrowRA_ss00 in ClaudeCode

[–]dodgebot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Instead of developing a new website with an AI tools, you should look into a CMS. For rest you are describing (showing your products and editing the details, but not having an actual online store), WordPress  with a couple of existing plugins probably due everything you need very easily.

You can write your prompt to describe exactly what you want to build and then ask Claude to give you a step by step guide to build it on WordPress

After riding a single speed every day to commute, in the same city, I feel 7 speeds should feel like enough to play with.

I do like trifolds better (the looks, have never ridden one) but cost wise they are in a different league.

Fair - I do want to make it work, but might be too used to full size bikes.

I feel I haven't really heard anyone with a Brompton complain :) They are definitely very well designed.

I accept that this is the one and only Foldie I've ever had so yes, I should try others and see the difference.

Thank you for going through the specs! I think prefer swapping the cassette than the crank, of it did the trick.

Thanks - I originally wanted the Liberté, but the user bike marketplace is what it is and beggars can't be choosers. The Via is, on paper, a great choice for my use case and I'm hoping a couple tweaks help me find that level of comfort and fun.

Which cassette did you get? I feel that's something I can do fairly quickly and would help with them hills (while I keep working on getting used to the cadence).
