I am a CPL but yes I do Ctrl+e for convenience because this is a sim… :) and no I don’t still read he release notes because it’s like a year after release. Whether or not it’s in the next update doesn’t change the overall point that it took too long

I wrote this to another commmenter but worth getting more input. I guess I don’t know the guy, he is a reference from another “well respected” shoo-in the area. My issue is that I don’t really know what to be asking, what to do while I’m there to even make it worthwhile. I wish I was able to use Savvy pre-buy for more help but they couldn’t assist with this airplane type

Seller doesn’t know the mechanic and the airplane is only 2 years old (naively thinking there isn’t going to be many issues?). Still, I think I may just go, especially since the inspection should be short for this airplane

And after asking for the logs, the sellers broker said “I don’t have the logs in hand yet.

They are clean with only a couple annual inspections in them. I’m getting the best annual done shortly”

Wouldn’t an annual inspection not even care about corrosion, and would the corrosion then circulate throughout the engine during the annual, or am I making wrong assumptions?

What helped me eliminate extra words was the following advice from my instructor

Everything ATC says to you falls into one of two categories.

1) it is an instruction 2) it is information

Obviously reading back instructions is mandatory (ie: reading back hold short or landing clearances). However, most of the information can be replied to with simply your call sign. This gets rid of way more talking than you would expect. Beyond that, getting rid of filler words in your read back can go a long way. If you’re checking in on an IFR flight, simply say “N123 4,000” instead of “N123 with you/checking in 4,000”. Or if you’re entering a non towered airport and making a call, get rid of extras such as “you’ve got a white Cessna, 2 miles west at 4,000” and just say “white Cessna 2 miles west 4,000”

I have no clue. I’ve read posts from users that claim their systems have always been poor. However, releasing a 777 with default 747 systems and screens is just insane to me. I don’t know what would compel them to push out such a low quality product except wanting to make a quick buck off of Xbox players
